so i rewatched the gathering arc from tcw today and 

1. i LOVE the younglings. like oh my god they’re all so good 

2. it took me all four episodes for me to realize that the reason i knew the nautolan’s voice is that he’s beast boy. i’m so embarrassed 

3. if at least one of them didn’t survive order 66 i’ll eat my own hat

4. i’m now thinking about writing a fic about ahsoka, trilla, and one of my ocs who’s about the same age doing their gathering together

Just casually playing around with the new wants. I already have a mod to make them better — thanks MissyHissy! Here’s a bit of a “review” of what I think so far. 

I like that two of the wants are more aspiration/personality-focused and then the third is influenced by their current motives/needs. I just wish we could cycle through them like we used to be able to.

I was always a very whims-based type of player and I think this new system has a ton of potential to guide my stories in cool, unexpected directions... but some of these are dumb... or I can’t do them yet in my BACC because I haven’t unlocked a career/lot/universities/some other achievement.

It’s a bit restrictive not being able to just click away the want and get a new one in its place.

It took a few hours but Jericho finally maxed the charisma skill!

Although it was well after 8PM, he just couldn’t wait ‘til morning. He invited Nineka over to run an idea by her. 

“I know it’s late, but it’s Caeley’s birthday tomorrow and I wanted to surprise her with this,” he explained, inviting the mayor inside. 

“It’s okay. I was just randomly walking around the neighborhood anyway,” Nineka assured him. “What can I help you with?” 

“So, uh,” he paused and looked around to make sure Caeley wasn’t around. “I maxed the charisma skill a few moments ago. And I wanted to use that to unlock the Entertainer Career. I know we usually have big ass town hall meetings to decide these sort of things...” 

“Oh! I think that’s a great idea!” Nineka agreed. “We’re gonna have a whole family move in this round so we don’t need another CAS Point for a little while.”

“Great!” Jericho grinned. “And we could always use more entertainment around here,” he added.

“For sure! So you definitely have my approval for this. And please wish Caeley a happy birthday from me!”

I think Jericho is having a hard time wrapping his head around the fact that his daughter is gonna be a young adult in a few hours. He’s way too young to have a young adult.

Next thing he’ll know he’ll be a granddad!

We’ve got a cake, we’ve got a birthday girl... now we just need to wait until it’s not 9AM so we can throw a raging party!

Just a cozy Saturday morning in the Leprince-Flynn household.

It was the calm before the storm, so to speak. Despite the peacefulness, you could still feel the buzz of excitement as everyone got ready for an age up later in the afternoon.

Also the fact that Fabe’s autonomously made coffee twice now since aging up into a teen is such a mood.

I really fucking love these two idiots. They’re such opposites personality-wise but they mesh so well together!

Romance sim types like Andy and knowledge sim types like Jericho shouldn’t be attracted to each other according to my chemistry system so the fact that they do get along this well — and are still going strong so many years later — is very telling.

Back at home, Jer has been hard at work! He completed his want to gain a programming skill and now he’s busy practicing his speech in the mirror.

Maybe Jericho will be the one to unlock the Entertainer career for his daughter? That’d definitely be a nice birthday present for when she ages up tomorrow!

A reminder, sims level up their skills 20% slower in my save thanks to the skill difficulty adjustment setting in MCCC. Jericho is very close but it still might take him the rest of the round... if not more... before he maxes the skill.
