ZigZag is a Thursday night dance party being held at Le Bain, the rooftop club on the 18th floor of the Standard Hotel. Initially thought of as a gay party, ZigZag is open to everyone and anyone. Coat check was downstairs before taking the elevator up. A gin and tonic ran at $12.

Zero : After our star struck first impressions of The Boom Boom Room wore off (read about it HERE ) we decided that we really wanted to party. Conveniently we were able to walk across the hall to Le Bain where the Zig Zag party was already in full effect. We were greeted to a packed house and immediately shot with a face full of green laser lights. Surprisingly, it was really easy to get a drink here too. Was this really the anti-thesis to their high end neighbors next door?
SWIRL: Fuck Yes! Now this is a dance party. It was funny to see familiar faces from earlier in the night at The Boom Boom Room dancing right along next to us. Were they just as bored as we were with the mediocrity of standing around looking at all the pretty sites too? Or maybe they were enticed by the bass bumping that reverbed all the way to The Boom Boom Room's bathroom. That's what made us decide to transfer parties. Some interesting sites graced my vision on the dance floor tonight. A 4-some group of guys all grinded on each other like they were trying to statically charge the circuits and keep the electricity running for the evening. That was definitely the highlight of my evening. Or grabbing Zero by the crotch and leading him away because some hungry males were trying to approach him from behind.
Zero : Wait really? Ha.
VirGIN: Le Bain is your older gothy sister to your younger pampered Boom Boom Room. It's dark, sticky, and all for debauchery. I mean that in a awesome way too. For those party virgins out there. When you come to the address of The Standard, walk past the ice rink and you'll see 2 different entrances. The unmarked entrance if for the elevator up to The Boom Boom Room. The other one with the Le Bain sign is for....well if I have to tell you then good luck with your night life endeavors. Once past the doorman, you'll go past coat check and the elevators will be on your left. Once you're at the 18th floor, the only place the operator will let you go anyway, you've arrived. I couldn't really make out the layout of the place too much because we were mostly on the dance floor, but there seemed to be 2 different sections devoted to seating. They both overlooked the sky line.
Zero : This was what we were looking for in terms of just going out and dancing our eyes out. Thanks for the save ZigZag. We WILL be back for seconds !
