The Cedar Cultural Center's 416 Commission
Just announced today are the next round of commission awarded by the Cedar with funds from the Jerome Foundation. I'm beyond excited to have been selected as one of the recipients for this fifth installment. What a treat. Haha. My new work will be for a quartet of strings and accompaniment. Save the date: Wednesday 27th January 2016 at The Cedar Cultural Center • MPLS http://www.thecedar.org/node/10622/events
In March, SPNN Youth Programs Coordinator Kao Choua Vue traveled to Laos as part of a Jerome Foundation Travel & Film grant. She has some amazing stories from her trip.
Jerome 12/13 fellows and local arts writer Jay Gabler meet at Bockley Gallery to see the work of Lauren Roche.
Jay will be penning essays about each fellow for the exhibition catalog that will accompany the fellows' exhibition at MCAD Gallery in October 2013. Dinner and planning continued at Common Roots. We are on a roll!
Call me Jerome
This morning the press release went out that I won a super-great, awesome grant!
This afternoon I will be stuffing envelopes to advertise our summer kids programs.
