Here’s a nonsensical double-header, just to record for posterity the fact that as our planet slid further into radical, irreversible climate upheaval, as America had an honest-to-god discussion about whether the facilities where children were kept in overcrowded cages, lacking the tools for basic hygiene, separated from their parents for months at a time is really like how the Nazis started out, I mean really, as hatred and authoritarianism were on the march worldwide, and most importantly as the newspaper industry continued to shrink, cutting jobs for editorial cartoonists to make more room for advertisements (or because some cartoonists actually went out on a rather safe and none-too-daring limb, let’s be honest), there continued to be lazy, uninspired, untalented shit-mongers who had nothing (or at least nothing discernible) to say.
Yes, there were debate several days ago (the candidates even had names, not that you would know it going by the Holbert cartoon). So maybe there’s been something in the news about electric scooters that I missed? But even if Stahler’s offering has some relation to current events, what the fuck is this editorial cartoon trying to say?
