I agree with you 100% about the ending!! I'm always surprised people hated it, especially with the argument "we got no answers," because I think we got every answer we needed, and also, not every last thing (especially in a show like this, where the island is supposed to be mysterious, among other things) always has to be explicitly explained! ❤️ I actually loved everything about the show tbh, I just thought it was pretty perfect overall, personally! (But I also love reading people's different opinions on things!) I've never really been able to talk to anyone about it, as you said no one really does talk about it anymore, so thank you!! 🥰
LOST is defined as a “mystery” series so why did people expect answers so fast, and why did they think they deserved an answer to every little thing that happens on the show??? Also, the island is mystical and magical so every weird thing that isn’t directly answered can be answered with simply: because magic.
I wish we got to see what happens with the characters after they leave the island. I would’ve loved a spin-off with Kate and Claire raising Aaron lmao (and potentially Jack’s baby bc i’m like 98% sure she was pregnant with his child).
The final season isn’t as *bad* as everyone makes it out to be. Like, to put it into perspective, it’s weak in terms of LOST because we expect a lot from it. But if you compare it to lesser shows, it’s probably considered very strong. The finale was written to move you, and considering I was crying so hard.... pretty sure it was successful so I’m satisfied with the ending, even if my favorite character died 😭😭😭
