Harry tried to be there. He tried to understand when Louis avoided being home until Louis missed something Harry never thought he would and he couldn't take it anymore.

They both try to move on but the universe seems to have other plans.

"You're never g-." "Harry's home!" Liam's face soured and he rolled his eyes. "I never know things first and I know I knew this first. Who told you?" "I saw him while I was running." Liam's eyes softened and he did not need pity. Louis started running after his breakup with Nick, another teacher at the school, and he did not need Liam starting in on him about being proud he had taken his advice seriously and found healthy coping skills. "I attacked him, Liam. Like, I saw him and then I was in his arms. I'm the most embarrassing human on earth."

Love Will Light The Way

Most people throughout Louis's life thought that dying brought you to one of two gates. Heaven or Hell. Really, it brought you to a dated diner, just outside of the suburbs, skirting the beginning of the city. Where, instead of God, you met Liam Payne and his post-it notes. Well, not for everyone, but for the select few whoever is in charge up there deemed fit to help guide the living into death. Unfortunate people like Louis. Who'd honestly rather just lie in bed and pretend it had all been a dream. A very bad, cliche dream. It wasn’t though and this was his new normal. As much as he hated it.

And Harry? He just wanted to know who the man was that kept killing his patients.

Week Three of the fest saw another three wonderful fics being posted. I hope you’ve enjoyed them if you’ve had a chance to read them. Thanks to the authors this week for taking part! We still have another two weeks of fics to come, but here’s a round up of what was posted last week.

Destiny Won’t Be Denied by @jesapeak​ (10k) “How’d you’d find me?” He couldn’t look up at him, but if he focused on the mat in front of him on the bar, he could at least speak. “Your aunt. You used your card, Idiot. Your aunt thought maybe I could get you to come home. My mom agreed.” He snorted, picking up his glass and taking a long drink as the front door banged open. “Well, it’s fucking tense in here.” He choked on his water, coughing it out all over the bar, making Niall cackle and when he finally caught his breath, he glared at him as he took the cleaner and towel from Shawn. “You’re an ass, Ni.” He laughed, ruffling Harry’s hair and making him smile, even as he felt Louis’s gaze on his face. He ignored it, cleaning the counter.

When the weight of his aunt’s expectations gets to be too much for Harry, Liam and Zayn help him run away. Things are going great until his aunt sends the one person who can bring him to his knees to bring him home.

He discovers the perfect replacement in an unlikely place, while watching his favorite YouTuber, Harrysparkles.

When he had responded to Harry’s cheeky tweet about the gala with his own cheeky ‘You should come - I’ll put you on the guest list’ he hadn’t expected anything to come of it.
