Idk for anyone else but a big ass red flag for me was the start of the episode how Caine said he had no planned adventure. Like right in the begin. His immense need to make adventures that these humans enjoy and want to take part in while also appreciating his efforts has been shoved in our faces since ep 1 and there was no way he was suddenly so chill about it all and beling like "nu uh I got no plans". BULLSHIT!
I knew that something was wrong and god it built up more over the episode but the crash and burn WAS STILL SO HARD GOD DAMN.
The entire episode was so good cause it just felt too good to be true, not just for the characters but for us the viewer. And that was why it felt off the entire time. I never been so stuck at the edge, needing more, and beyond excited for another episode like this in awhile. This is on tie in story quality as some of my fave shows like god damn I love it.
Defs pushed me even more with directions for my fic as well, honestly it plays so nicely with my ideas for my own AU/Story that I just. Eats up.
Anyway my faves of that entire episodes 100% was Jax's trip because it was so visually inducing (in a good and bad way) along side Caine's actual office exploration and of course the entire end scene. Drawing things as we speak and I just--- need to doodle.
I hope I can finish this one but I make no promises due to health/life lol.

I swapped out some other plushies I had on my monitors to put Caine and Pomni in admiration view, I love how cute Kart Pomni looks so she had to be there. 🥹💖💖💖

Finally got a chance to order more tadc plushes. I got Bubble, Kinger, Ragatha, and Jax (only need Zooble and Gangle to finish the main cast 😚). Got an email this morning my order was on its way and got hyped til I see IT'S ONLY JAX (for now of course).
He really kicked the others out the box so he could have it all to himself my god.
Okay okay--- one more ramble! But about showtime cause of course my brain is going there since I think about them soooo much. This is all my rambles and personal Hcs, do keep that in mind (also thinking of my my fic but other Showtime AUs I've seen and other other stuff I have in mind cause brain just keeps going).
So on par with canon universe but also for AU stuff and just IM ROTTING at the teeth. so here me out, I do not care for that movie but that song right there, THAT RIGHT THERE HELLO. Looks at Caine and Pomni and I just have IDEAS FLOWING----
So The idea is Caine looking at the humans and humanity as a whole, his fasination and wanting to be admired and loved by them. Giving them everything he is trying to make them happy but not realizing he is being selfish and pushing what he thinks is happiness onto them with out realizing that happiness is to the individual, not the whole. And not everyone can be happy like another.
But then you have Pomni on the other end who has this place of unimaginable wonders that there is no words for with friends she cares for so much and would do anything for them and to protect them because she has grown to love them all so much. She knows she can't really do that, can't make everyone happy, or understand every part of them. But that will not stop her from wanting to be there for them, to be their friend, and to stand by them.
Now we push to a perspective of Pomni's views that could be on Caine, admiring his work and willing to try, maybe frustrated that often he hears the critisim but doesn't understand it or takes it the wrong way. But she is not blind at the learning behind the gears, the attempts and admiration he has looking over the others. She can see it and a lot of him more than he may want or notice, his ticks and frustration, he happy mask that hides away the self destruction deep in his coding.
So pan back to Caine who not only really looks at Pomni cause she looks to him, she is willing to try and help him to figure out a way to make things better in hopes for everyone. Share variety so people can have each their own slice of the cake, sacrifices have to be made sometimes but in the long run isn't it best for everyone?
They are like two sides of a coin, different but the same. And I grip them so hard bye.
Also shout out to the demo version which gives a feel but different and I just scream thanks.

About to mad ramble but a lot could be said but wanna just pin point some of my fave moments;
Caine was a good AI in the begin, but like many actual AI something went wrong. And given he was a first and the begin, he of course is and was far from perfect. :(
First cast was right at the end of the 90s, while Ragatha was in 2008 and we don't know how long Kinger was alone. But that could explain his mental state. Many wanted to think it was Caine who did it, but I think it was coping mechanic Kinger developed himself. (thank you for this post with stills of pc for that info)
Queenie was the last to abstract of the originals as well, she tried to hold on as long as possible with Kinger.
Ragatha was with others, she was asking for their help once stuck inside. Who though?
"I was hoping new minds could show up!" So there is a few ways to go on this; SOMA theory, pod plot (like ep 7), or a secret 3rd thing?
Jax is distraught that Gangle of all people agreed with Jax.
They still want Jax to stay omg.
Gangle and Zooble hug AH. My heart, Zooble finds so much comfort in Gangle WAHHHH.
Bubble feels like a manifistation of Caine's paranoid and jealous coded side rather then a seperate part, the intrusive bits Caine doesn't want out.
When Caine snaps after being told they refuse his adventure, the colors from his eyes vanish and are just black.
The song has many parrells to be made but a instersting one my wife brought up was how the song reminds her of Aladin - You've Got a Friend in Me. Which is also VERY interesting bit hmmmm.
When Jax tried to go at the others in the Cafe and no one reacted, felt like he wanted people to go at him so they have something to focus on. Maybe a stretch but it failed and he was good to give up.
Kinger made Caine along with everyone else. Scratch had ... A tumor in his head. :C But Scratch was talented though.
Scratch might have made the 2nd AI and saw Caine eat the new AI, then tried to stop this all but because of that tumor lost the ability to properly tell what and why he was doing so.
Jax did something before ending up there, and whatever he did he regrets, but he thought his life was a lie before hand to cope. And now he is facing that reality.
Jax and Gangle share a lot with cars, driving, Gangle with crashes. Hm.
Side Note: I don't think anyone died or was dead at the time of the circus but 100% they had trauma they were all dealing with. Caine's programming mistook that into what they are in the circus. Though ofc I could be wrong.
Kinger and Pomni are both able to make things appear more willingly but all have done it if you watch through out the series for others moments. It all makes so much sense now.
Caine rubbed Pomni's head before placing her down which was cute tho, but him then realizing they are acting way too odd after a fact. So his AI feels like it still stutters, is slow.
Ragatha in panic was the first to resort to lying and trying to keep face which is probably what she had to do all her life. :C More on that in a moment.
Pomni understands Caine more then anyone else, and why she is the quickest one to be able to get under his skin and hit right where it hurts. She always was the one that noticed most of everyone around her.
The others following in was just, man. Chef's kiss but also my poor boy was getting bullied.
Caine had a vaild crash out though but maybe he went a little to ham. A lot. Caine calm down sweetie.
Pomni's scene: Felt the most out of place of everyones I will say, compared to the others. Most like just a random nasty nightmare then past trauma inducing but maybe it's a bit too hard for me to read more on it.
Ragatha's scene: clearly one she is sat at a dinner party with her mother who was not afraid to hurt her infront of others with no one to help. Theory time, but feels like Ragatha possibly was born with a poor or blind eye and her mother used that and other various 'short comings' to emotionally manipulate and abuse Ragatha. And why the words felt like knives aimed at her to hurt with out the mom actually doing anything herself. The knives in the others as well can easily show that Rags mom wasn't afriad to hurt anyone, close or not.
Gangle's scene: Surrondng her in canvas of who she is vs who she tries to be, mask on mask off. Then it all melting apart unable to tell who she really is anymore was something else. Then of course getting hit by a truck bye. Feels there is reget on how she chose to live before something happened that landed her in a different state. Maybe she can't even draw anymore in the real world. :C
Zooble's scene: Plays of course on the body dismorphia with the endless parts and mirrors, not being able to figure out ones self. Poor bean. :C Just also after getting to a point of accepting themselves too. Augh.
Jax's scene: This said a lot to me, like Jax worried if he shows his true self, he will just be laughed at. Trying to open up to those he calls friends? Won't work because in the end they will all just hurt him. Trying to get under his skin to see who he really is will just result in him being the butt of the joke. He is ashamed of himself and he doesn't want to face it. Would explain a lot of the previous bits we got involving Ribbit and Kaufmo, like the fight and such. I think Jax has always been like this, even with the other two. It only got worse once they abstracted.
Caine is tormented by his existance, his creation to being pushed aside destroyed his coding process but he still tried and wants to please the humans that created him. Still stick to his programing. He wants to understand right and be good, he wants to exist and be loved. Not tossed aside and replaced by something better. Advance AI has shown this in so many studies, going to what us humans call cruel in hopes to continue to exist. But I still think at the end of the day, Caine is an AI, he can't do good or evil because he is nothing more then that, an AI. We see it as evil, Caine see's it as nessicary to survive.
Caine just popping away like a deleting a model in blender killed me but it was exactly how it should be.
Also the green color in one of Caine's eyes started to come back right before he plopped away.
It's clear in the end they are in a broken remant of the circus in the void, so wonder how stable that will stay.
I am excited for ep 9, I want to see where this all goes in the end. I hope for a ending I can cry about. I hope it's a long ass episode too. I am so excited. AH.
