Nearly half an hour of color footage of Jesse Fuller. Interview and several songs. For those who don’t know, Fuller is famous for writing “San Francisco Bay Blues,” but that’s not the only good song in his repertoire. Billed as the “Lone Cat”, he played 12-string guitar, harmonica and kazoo in a rack, and with his feet, a high-hat symbol and a foot pedal-operated bass contraption of his own invention, known as a “fotdella.”

I particularly enjoyed his comments about Bob Dylan and Lead Belly.

friday nite with Alice and Marshall...

my parlor guitar is Alice and my new recharge-able acoustic guitar amp i named  “Marshall”  played for a while on the bench downtown last nite. went pretty well amp sounds good and is loud enuf out to about 12-15 feet away. only 15 watts and a 5 inch speaker so the low notes kinda weak.Over 2 days it ran for about  4 hours on one charge.  then it uses phone charger w/ micro usb no more trips to store for more AAA batteries YAY alice came with pick up system that didn*t work so she has a soundhole p/u so the SOUND thru the little amp sounds like jesse fuller(san francisco bay blues) or one of those guys. pretty good for finger-style.... btw when i saw one of my guitar-player friends last nite i was able to ask them  “how do u like my new MARSHALL? “   (crazy old man again)
