This was local-ish to me and I’ve actually thought about posting it here but didn’t because Tumblr is my (and a lot of other peoples) fuck it place but it’s summer. I know a lot of you have kids. I wasn’t allowed to spend the night with people growing up and my kids have never been allowed to spend the night with their friends. They were allowed to spend the night at their grandparents house and my brothers house. Their friends were always welcome at our house. I’m not judging anyone who allows their kid to spend the night with friends I’m just saying to think twice. Check the people out. GO WITH YOUR GUT! Don’t ignore bad feelings. There was another little girl that was supposed to be at this sleepover but her mother said she got a bad feeling and told her she couldn’t go anymore.
The ENTIRE system let these kids down. They practically severed these girls to him on a silver platter. It’s mind boggling. It’s infuriating. It was just as preventable as it was horrific and that should be enough to stop it from ever happening again but it won’t be.
Anyway, the point is that if it’s possible then why risk it…and it’s always possible.
