Getting close to someone is a risk. Its an act of entering anothers space; both parties vulnerable to one another. Some times its dangerous. Some times you’ll be rejected or humiliated, or some times they’ll feel the same. Its easy to keep a distance. It requires little to no risk. Theres safety. No one asks one another in a spoken or unspoken moment of recognition to be in communion or acceptance. In the end however and in more times than not, how close you were to another will be obvious to the discerning heart and eye. With that in mind, don’t be too afraid to become close. If it works out alright, theres beauty, vulnerability, and heart connections there. Oftentimes, the imprint left behind from that connection outlasts our own lives. It lives on for lifetimes. For those things, the risk is worth it. If I am talking about photography, human relationships, or both, is for you to decide. I’m just writing my feelings out.
