This is the secret of life: the self lives only by dying, finds its identity (and its happiness) only by self-forgetfulness, self-giving, self-sacrifice, and agape love.

God Will Save Us
For the LORD is our judge, the LORD is our lawgiver, the LORD is our king; it is he who will save us.
Isaiah 33:22
“We sinned for no reason, but an incomprehensible lack of love and He saved us for no reason but an incomprehensible excess of love.”
Peter Kreeft, Jesus-Shock
I find this scripture in Isaiah encouraging and heartbreaking. To read about God's judgement is both exciting and sad. I want God's judgement to be on those who have done incredible tragedies in the world. When I hear stories of sex trafficking or children armies, I want those individuals who caused those things to happen to be judged for those actions.
But at the same time, I feel heartbroken for those people who are not evil, but for what reason don't believe in God. For those who don't have faith, they also will be judged.
I am thankful for my faith in Him, and I know that whatever happens in any give day, He will save me.
Father, I pray for those in my life that have not accepted you as Lord and Savior. Help me be a light and example of your wonderful love. Amen
