The Problem with Lovespeed Ride
I know I'm late to the chat talking about this date, but I just have so many thoughts on this memory and I need to put it out there for the world to see.
Okay, so here's the thing. I love Lovespeed Ride, I love it a lot. MC's swimsuit is cute, Sylus is a beautiful man, they're so in love, everything is perfect. But as someone who has literally grown up riding jetskis, I have some issues with this date.
1. Boater safety 101: where are their life jackets? where are their life jackets? I get it, they probably both know how to swim, but let's be real, when you aren't expecting to get knocked off a jet ski and the water is choppy, a life jacket is essential. I don't think Sylus would risk her life so willy nilly like that.
2. MC in Front??? I know MC is so small and Sylus is so big, but let's be real, there's no way she could sit in front of him like that and he still be able to drive safely. Sure, my 6 year old niece could sit in front of her mom, but she's 6! A full grown woman would not fit, and sitting side saddle like that is just going to throw the balance off more.
3. The “don’t fall” moment:when he is reaching out to stop her from falling in the water, there is a 100% chance he would have just tipped the whole thing over and they both would have fallen! I am glad one of the kindled moments has them tipping it over, but it would happen either way!
4. The Disappearing Jetski: when they do tip over, please explain to me how they end up only in knee deep water and the jet ski is forever gone? How did it disappear? Where did it go? Why is MC not more concerned about littering the ocean with a PWC? Like when it tips over it doesn't get launched miles away...Make it make sense!
