The name is a pun since "wan" is "woof" in Japanese, and the dog mascot on the package even says it's "Terr-ruff-ic!". Also, according to the package the flavor is "Beef & Chicken Tender with Cheese"

How much thought do we think Rei put into selecting "Beef & Chicken Tender with Cheese" as the flavour? NONE THOUGHT EXACTLY. She doesn't give a shit what the flavour is, nor is she impressed by the puns. It was on sale THAT IS WHAT IMPRESSES
