Jett Maverick {Birthday Drabble}

Jett slowly woke up and stretched. He opened his eyes and found himself nose to nose with his pet seal. The seal chirped at him before proceeding to lick Jett's face. He laughed.

"Okay, okay Snouts! I'm up! I'm up!" He said as he gently pushed the little seal away from his face.

Snouts chirped again and swam around him. Jett continued to laugh. "Yeah, yeah. I'm coming." Jett got out of his bed and swam over to his bathroom. He got himself ready for the day and swam out of his room, with Snouts en-tow. He swam into the kitchen, but his parents weren't there. He looked around with a confuse look on his face, before he noticed Snouts going for the plate of uneaten breakfast. He gently grabbed him and pulled him away from it.

"Oh, no you don't. I'm pretty sure that's not yours."

Snouts growled quietly, but did swim away from it. Jett sat down and ate his breakfast, with Snouts trying desperately to mooch. After he finished, he put his dishes in the sink and swam to try and find his parents. As he looked for them, Snouts decided he wanted to play at that very moment. Jett eventually went outside to look for them. As he did, someone snuck up behind him and wrapped his arms around him. He yelled and and tried squirm away, only for the person to start laughing. "Happy birthday, sport."

Jett started laughing. He turned and hugged him. "Thanks dad."

His dad hugged him back and then he let him go. "Your mom and I got you a little something for your birthday."

Jett raised eyebrow. "Oh? What is it?"

His dad swam over to the side of the house and pulled out a surf board. "You mentioned that you needed a new one so, we got you one."

Jett's eyes lit up as his dad pulled out his present. He swam over and hugged him again. "It's great dad." He pulled away and took the board after his dad handed it to him. "Where's mom?" he asked. "She's off taking care of somethings. I'll be sure to tell her you love it." Jett nodded. "Okay."

"Now," his dad said ruffing up his hair. "Off you go. Go have fun."

Jett laughed and nodded. Then he headed off, once again followed by Snouts.
