here’s a funny lil story about my flight back home from new york, which also depicts how much some old white women hate younger/beautiful woman in first class for no valid reason.
i encountered small issues on flights going both to new york and back home. i’ll start with my flight there, my man obv got our seats together and in first class. after being seated, the flight attendant was taking drink orders for first class, to which he and i both ordered white wine. the flight attendant looked at me skeptically with judgemental eyes (probably because i’m young & with a handsome older man)
but didn’t ask me for ID (i’ve never been asked for ID on a flight before, even though i look young). we drank our first glass and after being in the air for a while, ordered our second. again, she gave me a stank look but didn’t ask for ID. i got up to use the restroom, and on my way out she was basically waiting just outside the cabin and asked me if i could bring identification before being served my second drink. i said sure and got my ID and presented it to her, but not before saying, “shouldn’t you have asked me for ID BEFORE you served me any alcohol? because if i were under 21 and you had already served me, that would be your job.” and she said “yeah but people were boarding the plane” blah blah blah. my response was “yeah but i’m a bartender and i’m pretty sure that’s the law and you just broke it” before taking my id back and going back to my seat. my man was also a little annoyed lol. but that was the only issue.
we stayed a couple extra nights than we had intended. on my return flight back home, my man got my flight back (first class of course) but he had to fly to a different city for work. so i was on this flight alone. i sat in my window seat with my headphones in, listening to music & scrolling through my social media. an older woman was seated on my left, and on the left of her there was a man doing the same things i was. texting and listening to music. (mind you, i had a couple of mimosas at this point which will come into play later, i was just planning on having 2). the old lady next to me TAPS me on my shoulder and says in the rudest voice, “shouldn’t your phone be on airplane mode???” and i tried to respond in the most polite way, “i never really put my phone on airplane mode” and chucked a bit to kind of lighten the mood. she said “well you need to put it on because it interferes with the plane and you’re not supposed to be using it” ... MIND YOU, the man on the left of her was doing the same thing i was, and she said nothing to him. so, i just said “i’m not gonna do that” put my headphones back in & went back to minding my business. this bitch then calls the flight attendant over and asks her if my phone needs to be on airplane mode. the sweet flight attendant looks at me and says “i guess technically..... but it really doesn’t make a difference and she’s probably on wifi” :))) i thank her and look at the lady and smile. but the bitch keeps pushing the issue, again asking me why it isn’t on airplane mode, and i tell her “ma’am, i’m connected to deltas wifi so no, i’m not turning my phone on airplane mode when i’m PAYING to use their wifi.”
mind u, she never said anything to the man on the left of her. i ask the flight attendant for another mimosa after that and apologize for her having to keep coming back and bring them, she says no worries. after that, they bring us our breakfast and i slip $10 on the tray when she picks it up, just as a thank u for being kind and bringing me mimosas and she comes back with another and gives me this :)
like ma’am, what is your reasoning for being a bitch? is it because i’m a young woman in first class???? because of my skin color??? or perhaps a combination of the three????? you’d think that since you’re so old and your days are limited you’d be a little fucking kinder. so, i guess even tho the old lady was a fucking hassle, there still are kind hearted people here in the world ❤️ thank u boston crew 💙
