Nugu GG of the Week #653 : Jevice (part 4)
Final Jevice song is Those Were the Days/It Was Good Back Then or how Spotify translated 그때가 좋았어 to "A Then Misses" because somehow that's proper English.
This song doesn't have an MV or didn't get promoted on music shows. The group released a mini album which contained their first 2 releases and then this and Don't Answer the Phone. This song is fine, definitely the weakest of the batch of 4 songs they released but still it's pretty sound. We love our Christian horse girl ballads. Plus these two can really sing.
After sometime the group presumed disbanded after no further promotions. A shame they were very talented plus they were under Girl's Day label but clearly that label could only focus on GsD I guess. They did have a boy group I believe too? They also flopped hard and got dropped if I remember right.
Post disbandment Jiae released solo music for a time. Her last release was a Collab in 2023. So not that long ago. Her music library is split between multiple libraries and some songs I can't even find 😔 nugudom struggles. I chose to include her song Sleeping Beauty. I love the soft pop/R&B vibe.

Nugu GG of the Week #652 : Jevice (part 3)
Jevice returns in late 2013 with their 3rd release, Don't Answer The Phone. We stay with the nice strong power ballad song but we along with the traditional string section and piano we also have an occasional Latin guitar. Also again we have that subtle Christian horse girl energy in the song which we don't mind.
This time we kinda got an MV, just them lounging around different rooms singing the song but they look beautiful.

Nugu GG of the Week #651 : Jevice (part 2)
The duo returned in early 2013 with their 2nd digital single Cause of U. The song continues being a strong power ballad to sing at the top of mountain tops. Honestly it definitely has a slight anime opening vibe but also Christian horse girl vibes as well 🤔
It's quite the nice follow up release with a great instrumental.
And again sadly no budget for an MV, it's just another round of footage of them in the studio 😔

Nugu GG of the Week #650 : Jevice (part 1)
Jevice is a duo that debuted in 2012. The members were Juri and Jiae. Jiae is actually an "original" member of T-ARA aka she along with Jiwon of Spica did an OST as T-ARA but left before their official debut with Lies. Jevice isn't NUGU nugu because technically they debuted under Girl's Day label. They're very similar to Cube Entertainment's A Train To Autumn (y'all still streaming Spring Rain?) aka a ballad group that barely got any push and then one day disbanded.
They currently have 86+ monthly listeners on Spotify we gotta get that up to 8.6+ Million 🧐 seems doable right?
Their group name is a combo of Jewelry and Voice.
The group debuted with I'll Love. The song is a nice power ballad with strong vocals. The girls sound well together. The ballad definitely sounds like most other ballads you'd hear in 2012 from other artists like Davichi or Ailee etc. the song also features a small rap from Yura of Girl's Day.
The MV.... 💀 Well I know it's 2012 so GsD was doing okay with Oh My God but they didn't hit it BIG till 2013 with Expect It so this MV was just a bunch of footage of them in the studio recording the song.

#너빨지마 #DonotAnswer #Jevice I just discovered them when I was searching Yura's song (she did I'll love you with them) and I really love their voices
