I don’t know what to do with this blog anymore, too many people I know follow me and it makes it a little awkward posting personal stuff on here..... so perhaps I’ll make another one in the future.

Me on the phone recording a message: 'hello, yes, this is me, um, phone back on my phone number, okay? Thankyoubye.'
I've been trying all week to get a booking with a therapist but in Melbourne you get put on hold for everything so I haven't been successful. I just really need help here
'Ok' .....*whimpers* 'I'll, I'll see you'.....*tears fall down cheek* 'this afternoon'
So today I had to deal with my political theory teacher who strongly urged the class that traditional Marxism is a thing of the past and that 'a very small minority still believe in it.' So with that headache in mind, we proceeded to discuss Rosa Luxemburg's 'Democracy and Dictatorship' essay. One woman in class asked when it was published and I said 'probably around 1917' (because it's a paper discussing the nature of the Bolsheviks) and then she asked when she died and the teacher said he didn't know and then I said 'she was tragically murdered in 1919' and the teacher thought I said '1990' and said offhandedly 'ah so that's why she was critical of the whole thing because the wall fell down.' I was like 'what the fuck?!' And then he butchered the entire thing and made out that Luxemburg's essay was critical of full communism and Revolution because she was concerned of the relationship between the Bolshevik's and the workers at the time. And like the 1917 revolution wasn't even mentioned during the entire class. It was a waste of time because it just gave bits and pieces of misguided information. To top it all off he said that 'traditional communism' was not even concerned about the 'culture' of oppression but just with economic inequality and I just gave an argument that Marxists actually believe economic oppression is the driving force of all oppression and that economics feeds into the culture as it changes. Fuck sakes. And then the conversation was shut down immediately. And then to slice off the head off this overgrown tumour the teacher just started talking about a republic and that social equality can only be done in 'small countries' (??????) and then some right wing dipster started talking about the constitution and Thomas Jefferson!?!?
It's pretty degrading having go to the doctors to get a prescription (and pay for it all!) just to have safe sex for the next couple of months...
I’m a little speculative of the effectiveness of CBT techniques. Like, they’re effective for having a panic attack or suffering from crippling anxiety but just telling someone to breath in and how isn’t really going to help them in the long term nor does it help them think differently about their situation. Honestly, someone being troubled really needs someone to talk to, especially if they have a kind and thoughtful opinion to reciprocate with. I think therapy sessions are too consumed with CBT, psychologists seem to swear by it and see any other method as ineffective (as most of them just concentrate on the problem). But it’s really telling of the stage of capitalism we’re in. More people are suffering from depression and having anxiety seems to be the certified stamp of being an adult so naturally people would be going to more clinics and CBT seems to be the thing that rushes people in and out of it. You only get 10 sessions and by session 10 you are considered ‘cured’ and then you’re sent on your merry way back to work to do the most effective work possible.
I seriously messed up today
