Jezinka (Jezinky is plural in czech, sometimes called Bezinky) are certain kind of forest demon, also known as Divoženka (literally a "wild woman"). They could be interpreted as forest witches as we know them from classic fairy tales. Their role can be both negative and more of a neutral - just minding their own business, living in a forest, far away from civilisation - ah, what a dream!

So I bought these last night from ForestFernCreations on Etsy. I saw them and realized I wanted them more than air, haha. I even got a good deal on them because she is having a sale today where if you enter the code FLOWERSARECOMING at checkout you get 30% off your order. They look super awesome but it was really the description that sold me.  

"Jezinka" means "wicked wood nymph" or "dryad" in modern Czech, and is a term often used when describing the greatest witch of Slavic folklore who is also known as Baba Yaga. Baba Yaga is associated with farm fowl and chicken feet, which is why these earrings are named after her. These are a pair of hand sewn snake skin, leather and small animal bone earrings that have been adorned with dried chicken feet and antique brass bells. The chicken feet are natural deaths from a friend's farm. Small brass beads and brass ear wires complete the pair. 

I really can't wait for them to get here.
