She lived for most of her life with her mom, the leader of the rebellion at the time. When the Girl is 10 years old, BLI finds them and captures and dracs her mom; no one knows how she managed to get away. After that the zones are hectic. Everyone is on edge after the loss of a major figure in the rebellion and the increasing BLi raids and the doubling of patrols that lead to the unfortunate end of a few notable crews. A few months later, Dr. D steps in as the new leader of the rebellion, guiding the desert back to a nearly unified front. At the same time he takes in the Girl as her caretaker and starts making her out to be the fresh new face of the rebellion.

Dr. D spends the next 5 years slowly building up her reputation as someone special, all the while oblivious to her powers. People tend to avoid her or keep their distance, there’s a lingering fear that being close to a major zone player’s kid would bring BLi barging through their metaphorical doors. The few exceptions are Newsagogo, Cherri Cola and most importantly, Show Pony: devout follower of DESTROYA. By spending time around Pony, she learns more about DESTROYA right around the time her powers start manifesting. At Pony’s urging, she keeps them a secret "as to surprise D later”- their words not hers. 

As she gets older, she starts having a distaste for the whole image/role D is pushing her into and begins acting out. Does a lot of running away, lashing out and being generally counterproductive. She always comes back though as that is one of the only places she knows/can call home. Through all of this, she discovers that the rebellion isn’t what D makes it out to be, and so begins fighting an upward battle.

jet can have any pronouns they want. as a treat.

ANYWAYS the nestie edition of jet star comes from a big family!! especially cuz i see jet as a zonekid, so its more "yeah these people are ur aunts and uncles and cousins" but like also jet star has 3 parents. as a result theres always someone who kinda knows jet star around.

i think they switch between like dark purple/blue for hair! fashionwise i think jets like "either the sleeves are rolled up or i have a crop top otherwise im not wearing it" fun looks mainly most definitely has something with nasa on it and isnt entirely sure what that is. same height as newsagogo and as such they are constantly swapping/stealing clothes

if u ask jet star what their fav animal is they just say "kobra kid" and then kobra throws sand at them

i think jet star is like. weirdly friends with mad gear but its in a "hey we keep waking up/ending up in the same places after big parties. what good my new party bestie." way. like they close but at the same time neither of em knew the others name for the first two week of bein pals i think

hc that any time the fab four tried to get the radio crew to babysit the girl she would just run away. they leave and fifteen minutes later show ponys panicking bc they cant find her. also: the girl bites. she hisses at people. she growls. a kid at gertie’s said her toy robot was lame and the fab four literally couldnt take her back to gerties again because she just fucking hates that kid.
