"You're welcome to stay, but remind me why I'm the little spoon in my own bed?"
“Shut up.” Keith said into the back of Griffin’s head, the smell of his shampoo filling Keith’s nose and both making his head spin and helping to settle him in the moment.
He was exhausted, and while it was a bit awkward, Keith just had collapsed into James’ bed after they had finished writing up training for their teams. It didn’t have to be weird, but there Griffin was making it weird.
It wasn’t like Keith was matching his breath to James’, or feeling the other man’s heartbeat through the hand resting on his chest... It was just two guys who had finally broken through the tension and anger between them into an unsteady friendship crashing in the same bed because Keith didn’t know if he would make it all the way back to his quarters before falling asleep.
