Gris scanned the little neighborhood when she stepped out of the car, in front of Naoya Sasagani’s place. The whole place was rather unassuming. Well kept houses and manicured lawns. Very peaceful overall. Not what she’d been expecting, but then again he was raising a child and J had been more that willing to have Hatsumi along. It shouldn’t be surprising that he might live somewhere like this.
“This is the place, huh?” Gris asked J, as Hatsumi exited the car eagerly, to race over to the door, “I guess when everything else is so...Hectic, a quiet place to live is ideal.”
She opened the back door to retrieve the cake J had brought from the seat behind her. When she straightened back up the front door was open and Naoya was standing there, no doubt waiting for them to come inside. Gris shut the doors on her side of the car and followed J to the house.
When they got to the door, he hesitated a moment, before he appeared to make up his mind and stepped forward to give J a brief hug, “Come on in. Oyaji is out back with Showa, he’ll be back in soon, since Hatsumi went out there.”
Closer Than You Think [rp with j-has-a-nephilim-problem]
Down in the Lower Levels of The Order HQ, Gris was getting ready to give a lesson that was generally very exciting, under normal circumstances. Honestly it could still be, but probably not in the same way that a fresh apprentice would experience it. Learning how to summon a familiar was the first real rite of passage for a mage...If you didn’t count the first time they accidentally blew something up.
The shadar-kai was busying herself with laying out all the necessary components, for the ritual, out on a folding table they’d taken to using for these lessons. Many candles, different incense, matches, a metal tray and plate, various other small items. It was the most basic assortment, an individual could substitute some things to their liking, say they wanted a specific incense, or scented candle. The ritual didn’t seem to mind.
She stepped back from the table and took another look at what was laid out, “Yes, I think that is everything.” She didn’t move as the sound of flapping wings behind her ended with the pressure of talons grasping at her leather jacket, “What do you think, Rebar?”
The raven on her shoulder looked at everything on the table, every shiny object looked to be in place to him, “I think so.”
So the purpose of this meme is to give a little info on your muses without having to rely on others to fill your ask with meme questions. I know how disappointing it can be to come back to an empty ask so I wanted to create a meme that anyone and everyone can do (mun and muse).
The rules are simple, you do not need to be tagged to fill out the questions, but once you have you must reblog and tag 10 of your followers to spread the love (as well as add a question of your own to the bonus section). You can fill it out as many times as your heart desires (we all know muses can change with their character development.)

8. What profession other than yours would you like to attempt?:
“I... wouldn’t mind trying to be a pastry chef, but I suspect that Peri and Silence would find it boring.”
9. What profession would you not like to do?:

8. If you could live in any sort of environment (with your choice of inhabitants, climate, etc.), what would it be? Describe it.
“I would go back to Tamsin’s old abode, deep in the woods. It was a big old house, with three floors, and a lovely kitchen garden, and a small lake not too far away, maybe a quarter mile. And our mate would be there, in whatever form their host might take. And our friends would be safe to come and go, instead of keeping in touch only occasionally and by the most protected means possible.”
9. If you could gain one super power (that you don’t already have), what would you want it to be?
“It’s not exactly a superpower, but I would love to have a proper angel’s sword, instead of my dagger and scarves. I can wield Silence and Peri’s sword, but... it’s not the same.”
10. If you had the choice between dying to save someone you love, or live on knowing you didn’t save them, which would you choose?
“As if that’s even a question. I would give up my life to save those I care about, even if it meant leaving Peri and Silence alone in their body.”
11. If you had the money or confidence to wear whatever you wanted, what would you wear?
“Pfft. Wardrobe choices are a little more complex than that for me. I prefer lightweight dresses, though, ones with a full skirt so I can run and climb and fight.”

“The one who was the holder of my role in the past... the Angel of Sorrow, the Angel of the Sea of Tears.”
13. What do you read?

Quoth The Raven (closed RP with j-has-a-nephilim-problem)
Gris had spent the last twenty-four hours on the roof, and was exhausted now. The ritual was done though and it'd been successful. She smiled and ran pale fingers through her new companion's dark feathers, as the large raven hitched a ride on her shoulder. It felt good to have that presence again, it would take a long time to get the same level of cohesion that she'd had with her first familiar, but there was time.
She stooped down and picked up the box she'd brought up with her, leaving a mess up here wouldn't be right...she might even end up being scolded by Hatsumi if she did. Gris chuckled, "We'll go see J...Then I need some damn sleep." She tucked the box under her arm and headed for the roof access door.
The shadar-kai turned on her phone and texted J as she walked down the hall towards the elevator door:
[text] J, I need to introduce you to someone. You busy?
No Apologies ~ Closed RP (with j-has-a-nephilim-problem)
Gris was taking the elevator up to J's office today. It was about time for Hatsumi to be up there, hanging around after tutoring.
The shadar-kai had been meaning to talk with J about her teaching the girl a few small tricks, but it seemed she'd been outed prematurely. She could only imagine what was about to be said, but magical talent wasn't something to be wasted, or allowed to develop wildly.
Gris had a small box in her hands. It was thin and maybe as long as the span of one of her hands, the old wood it was made from was dark, but it's lacquer was fading, and the corners were smooth, it had seen a lot of time pass and been an more than a few hands.
She looked at the box fondly as the elevator doors opened, but her face went neutral as she stepped out. Gris wasn't sorry.
