IG-100 “GEE”
Scavenged, repurposed IG-100 MagnaGuard.
Role: Copilot, combat support, ship systems specialist
Physical Attributes:
- Gee is painted black.
- Gee’s electronics are a sort of blue-purple instead of red.
- Gee’s photoreceptors have been modified, and can change shape depending on “mood” expressed, like shape-changing LEDs, you’ve seen the masks on IG or TikTok I’m sure.
- Gee will sometimes throw on clothes to seem more individualistic, like a poncho or a hat (he sees Jhett doing it).
Personality: Dry, sarcastic, and observant. Gee has developed a strange sense of curiosity about organic behavior, especially emotions, habits, and contradictions. Though he is a Droid, he tries to study behavioral patterns, and has a fascinating curiosity about organic sentience and consciousness. He often questions things in a blunt, literal way, and can be unintentionally funny. Despite this, he shows subtle signs of loyalty and protectiveness towards Jhett. He is a capable and helpful crewmate aboard Fearless.
Traits:
- Speaks in a calm, almost monotone voice.
- Occasionally pauses mid-sentence as if “thinking,” processing information.
- Collects random data about people and experiences.
- Mimics behaviors he doesn’t fully understand.
Quirks:
- Asks oddly specific questions at inappropriate times.
- Tried to interpret abstract concepts and philosophies.
- Sometimes stands completely still when not actively engaged in an activity, which can be unsettling. He is processing information, running “memories” in his cognitive module (CPU/Brain)
Combat Notes:
- Retains original MagnaGuard agility and reflexes.
- MagnaGuards were trained by General Grievous, who studied all lightsaber forms. Yes, Gee can use lightsabers, and can fight against those who wield them, if need be.
- Gee is capable of using a variety of weapons. He always has at least a blaster on him when off the ship.
- Can pilot Fearless (his and Jhett’s ship) just fine without help.
Gee’s Dynamic with Jhett: Jhett treats Gee like a person, not just a machine. Droids in Star Wars have levels of sentience and awareness last I checked. Gee seems to try to push beyond the limits of how IG-100s were programmed. Gee doesn’t fully understand why Jhett treats him as fully sentient, but understands that it matters. Their conversations can sometimes drift into philosophy without Jhett intending them to.
