description - you and eric have been married for a while now, by that time you’ve had a daughter as well! (it’s just eric being fluffy, kind and reassuring towards your daughter - most of the description has come from the request!!) SORRY THIS IS A SHORT ONE! AND I THOUGHT THIS SONG WAS PERFECT FOR THIS FIC!

you and eric had been married for a while now, and you have had a daughter! it has been 5 years since you had had her, and she has become more involved with the royal household and its duties although being young still.

you were the duchess of the island since you got married to eric, and your daughter eleanor was the first princess of the island.

ever since she got the title, she seemed to feel a little insecure and pressured. even at a young age…

you were out helping the townspeople in the market with grimsby one day when eleanor was feeling down, insecure and pressured the most.

while her mother was out, she had her father with her.

eleanor of all people thought her father would be down at the market, but you told her that she couldn’t stay in the castle alone.

they both stood out in the carriage room also amongst where the horses are, playing trust fall together.

she felt a little uneasy that day, of all days. which made eric sit his daughter aside for a few minutes to talk to her.

“darling? are you okay?” he asked her, as bent down to get down to eleanor’s level. she didn’t look like herself at all.

she looked back at him, with soft and shy eyes and shook her head a little. “worried.” she could only say.

eric tilted his head and looked at her, “why are you worried, my sweet girl?” he asked her, wondering what was wrong.

“it’s hard being a p-wincezz daddy..” eleanor mumbled, “it worries and scares me..”

her father put his hands on her cheeks, trying to reassure her. “hey.. hey… look at me..” he tells her, “none of this should worry you. alright? there is absolutely nothing to worry about, my darling.. do you understand?”

eleanor nods, and embraces her father in a long hug. eric kisses his daughter’s head, not realising that you had entered through the castle gates.

you look at him, wondering what had happened. he just looks at you, and already as he does this you know. you just know.

so you rush down and hug her and kiss her head to comfort her, then you peck eric’s lips quickly.

all of them, all of her family being together made eleanor feel better again. she knew that she didn’t need to worry anymore.

she was home. her family was her home.

the island felt like home.
