“fear of failure, i think. failure wasn’t really an acceptable option for me growing up, and it’s still not acceptable to me now. if i can’t succeed at something... why bother doing it at all? failing... is the worst thing to me, so i think the fear of it motivates me to try my hardest, so that i don’t have to experience failure.”
