Would You Light My Candle?
It's yet another day in which Seoul sleeps without power. Unusual movement creeps the streets at night looking for a victim to pry on. Typically Yoohwan wouldn't be concerned, however, the fact of not having enough information on the creatures that manifest in the dark is very unsettling. Thus far the only known fact about the creatures is that they have very dangerous, sharp claws. They seem to be pretty fast as well.
Finding light was proving more and more difficult as the days progressed. The flashlights he possessed were already running out of battery. His last resources were the boxes of candles Division had given him. In all honesty, he was good for about a month since on his last visit he took more than enough knowing he will need them. Conveniently enough he received a box of matches with each box of candles and five lanterns just in case. He thought it was exaggeration but knowing him, he would use the lanterns to attack someone if needed be.
“Better safe than sorry~”
He doesn’t remember where or what but he overheard a very vital piece of information from some of the residents. Unfortunately he couldn’t remember what it was. It’s his own fault since he was too lazy to write it down before falling asleep. All he remembers is that he should keep a bottle of alcohol with him. It was bound to come in handy in his steak out.
As he roamed the streets he encountered a young lady. A young lady who seemed to be in a state of mid-panic attack. His guess was that she didn’t have any light to spend the night with. Luckily he set out for some matches before the stores all closed. Watching her from across the street he continued walking since it was none of his business. Then he remembered the attack of the first day. Someone like her wouldn’t make it against that creature. Zero fought with all his might not to try and play the hero but it was to no avail. Coming to a halt, he turned to face the woman across the street. There was a lantern on his waist and a lantern on his hand. Looking straight at her he stretched out the lantern in his hand. He swore if she didn’t get the message he would leave her to fend for herself.
He was lying.
