The performance ends with them on opposite corners of the stage, Jimin laying on the floor and Jungkook kneeling. As the crowd erupts with applauses, they stand up and walk towards the center, seemingly gravitating towards each other.
Once they are finally next to each other, Jimin doesn’t even think before grabbing Jungkook’s hand and holding it as he bows in front of the audience.
Jungkook is taken aback by the sudden skinship, mouth dropping open slightly before recovering and bowing as well. He’s not sure how long he stays in that position, but he can feel Jimin tugging him towards the back stage.
When they got there, Jimin lets go of Jungkook’s hand and turns to face him. A wide smile has taken over his features, eyes turning into beautiful crescents and body buzzing with excitement.
“We did so good! Did you hear how hard they clapped? I’m usually quite humble but we were the best out there, Jungkook!” The more he talks the more excited he gets, and soon Jungkook is mirroring his smile with one of his own.
“Good job, Jungkook. You’ve worked hard.” and just like on stage, he doesn’t give it a second thought before embracing the younger man in a tight hug.
Their bodies are sticky with sweat and Jungkook’s is still stiff from the sudden contact.
And yet Jimin, as he rests his hands on Jungkook’s upper back, feels everything slow down.
When he gets on his tippy toes and puts his chin on the younger’s shoulder he feels warmth spread throughout his entire body.
When Jungkook finally snaps out of it and rests his hands on Jimin’s waist, thumbs caressing clothed skin, Jimin feels relaxed, like finally getting home after a long day of work and being able to curl under your blanket and fall asleep.
They stay like that for a while, minutes, seconds, they are not sure for how long, before Jimin pulls away a little, but not enough to break the contact. He is still smiling, but this time he looks shy, cheeks dusted with pink hues. “My feet were getting tired form from standing on my tiptoes.”
The younger laughs a little, and then smiles again, giving Jimin a genuine smile and not one of those lopsided smirks he grew accustomed to in the weeks they’ve spent together. “You were great, hyung. Anyone that says otherwise must be blind.”
Jimin’s cheeks get a little redder at the praise. “Thank you.” he barely whispers and they are back at staring in each others eyes.
It’s not sure who initiates it, but suddenly their lips are touching, barely brushing against each other, shy and insecure. Jimin raises one of his hands to cup Jungkook’s cheek, and the younger puts his hands on his lower back, bringing him closer.
The kiss gets more intense, hands roaming each other’s bodies, soft groans filling the silence.
But it is sure who interrupts it.
As Jimin’s tongue pokes at the younger’s lips, asking for permission, he is suddenly pushed away, body feeling cold because of the lost and mind confused.
Jungkook is looking at him with furrowed brows, deep in thought.
Jimin tries to step closer, opens his mouth to say something, but the younger talks before he has a chance. “We shouldn’t have done this. This is not right.”
He turns and runs away, Jimin calling his name right behind him, trying to catch up with him and explain.
But the younger is much faster, and he soon leaves the venue without even looking back.
