i feel like lily could go george, like she'd love his solo stuff and say they should let him sing more / james ofcs john he's never even had to think about it / peter would be john too because he likes the main guy / remus i'd think paul like his voice feels soulful n all to him and he thinks he's the main guy / sirius i could see going ringo (because he's contrarian) he's like that's where the actual music is and actually they should let him sing more / mary i can see having a thing for drums too and like the vocals blur for her / germaine i agree w george like the middle guy of sorts / dorcas i have no reason for thinking this but feel like she's not into the beatles and has these more niche music finds that she's really proud of (unless she has already been written as so which is a great opportunity as any for me to embark on another reread)
yeah i should clarify this is all predicated on them all having to choose a favourite like they’d not necessarily STRONGLY associate with them, you know?
i do think lily would like George’s solo stuff and would have had an all things must pass phase but i don’t think the Beatles are her favourite musicians ever and she’s not ride or dying george… but i have to believe she’s pro band on the run and that’s a turning point in her Beatles opinions. i actually think the reasons you mention are why Remus would like george — i think he would have a SERIOUS all things must pass phase and this is where if i were a bad person I’d make a joke about how he lowkey needs that to tide him over through all the Things in his Life that must Pass lol. i could see Sirius taking a contrarian stance but i don’t think he’d care very much overall, which is why i couldn’t pick out a strong take for him. Mary is also coming from a place of the Beatles not being her favourite band ever but i don’t think she’s a Ringo…i think overall her take (right or wrong) is that the Beatles are too vanilla and she’s Stones >. Dorcas is pro here comes the sun and i think that’s really all the thought she’s put into it
