Stars management: we’ve got a good group of guys and we’re going to get through this THROUGH WHAT THO???? I feel like im going crazy cuz they at the beginning they were like jsyk everything is fine and we were like ok? And they were like were so fine we are just going to focus and act like usual and were like ok??????

So yeah, seems like the organization is going to stiff upper lip it and pretend everything is fine. It’ll probably work for a while but handling major changes in this manner has a way of biting you in the end. The organization owes the players better explanations, even if that information never becomes public. The organization is insisting that the players trust them but that trust has been broken by the continued unprofessional conduct of the organization itself (Jim Lites and the “horseshit” saga; Jim Nill not bothering to talk to Seguin about re-signing until literally right before the 2018-19 season, etc).

This organization has no right to insist that the players (or the fans) trust in them. Montgomery might be the first Jim to leave the organization but I hope he’s not the last.
