What are your thoughts on a supreme being watching over this planet in a guarding/guardian type way ?
Well, here's the thing, my God: the novel itself isn't really about God. It's not even really about a supercomputer doing that sort of thing. What we get from it is a kind of idealized image of that kind of thing, and that's fine. But it doesn't represent the idea of a computer doing that kind of thing. And, the thing is: that's what the titles of these chapters are supposed to evoke, and it's impressive how effectively they do so. That's the point, isn't it?

Merry Meet, I read your post on ' show me a legal case '. I know that folks in Australia have laws that do hold the blogger accountable. I have read her blog, and she will not discuss it. Most of the world [does not hold the blogger responsible ], however in some twisted places of this world, the blogger can be. Blessed Be.
I thought I already responded to this but I guess not.
This is something to consider when we have to think about things outside of an Ameri-centric view.
Also, Wiccan ritual language like “merry meet” and “blessed be” make me feel really awkward as I am not Wiccan.
Hello, I do know Namaste is the word < grin >. I ran across the Witchaste image and had to share it with the pagan folks i know. I'm not artistically creative enough to create cool art. Blessed Be, Namaste.
Okay, so…I wasn’t actually asking if you know the word Namaste. I was asking if you know the spiritual and religious connotations behind it. It’s not just a simple greeting; this is a brief introduction if you’re not clear.
It’s not appropriate to take a spiritually important thing from a culture and shove it into your own. I figured you didn’t make the image (it’s not the first time it’s gone around), but it’s inappropriate regardless of whether you’re creating it or spreading it. I can go into more detail as to why if you’d like (just ask), but the gist of it is, if you’re not a member of the culture that the spiritual thing originally came from, you should not be taking it out of context and twisting it to fit other things. It’s rude to the beliefs, cultures, and spiritualities of others.
(If you are actually Hindi, then please disregard me and do what you want–in that case you know more about it than I do.)
