Today it’s Jimin’s turn for his Notes on Dis-ease and with it we are returning to the bridge that had everyone lose their minds, rightfully so. I really liked how relaxed and unhurried this sounds, as opposed to the slight sense of urgency you get from the final song, and the tone of his voice. It’s not the higher one we are used to from Jimin, but rather him using a voice closer to his normal talking voice, a lower, more relaxed register we don’t hear that often from him nowadays.
Knowing how quickly he managed to come up with that bridge and how good it is, it definitely makes you want to hear more of his lyricism, and especially for perhaps a more serious or ballad like song (or maybe that’s just me), something more Promise than Christmas Love. He's definitely slowly growing when it comes to writing lyrics and finding his style, something he himself mentioned he’s working on, and I’m curious to see what he’ll have for us next, and if perhaps we’d get to hear this (as in the one from the Note) kind of voice/tone from him more.
The video is darker in color pallet than the previous ones, though warmed up by shades of orange, and, once again, suits the bridge as well as Jimin and his voice really well. It gives this sense of early evening/night, being relaxed and listening to Dis-ease and just losing yourself in the song for a little while. Great visual interpretation. Also his actual little note with the footsteps and doodles is really cute!
