JINGLE CATS 2024

I have returned with another stupid song. My apologies to all my Yog mutuals- it's not about old Minecraft this year. BUT I tried very hard and I think it's a real good laugh so ENJOY!

Martyn your jingle jam event was so excellent and incredible and you did so great hosting and you absolutely deserved to be the one to break last year’s record

This is handy! I just came on to post a tiny tid bit about that stream/event. Firstly, thank you for the kind words.

Secondly, Rat Scrooge who was writing in his diary before each past/present/future segment were 3 different rats BUT they were all from the same bloodline

The idea was that they're a few generations apart (and an even greater leap between present and future) and it's very apparent they've not had the same 3 ghostly visitors that we were currently indulging

Scrooge acted as a way of framing the narrative that rat and human relations broke down over time. In the past they spoke to us, in the present they trap us but with glints of kindness (like the Mother freeing scott, even if she can't understand us and Granny being nice too) and then in the future when the humans have eradicated themselves they have to deal with the cats themselves

Fun fact: It was possible for us to fail the moon mission and the earth would've exploded or broken in some way and Mango would've been all "Welp, you lot suck. I hope the rats of tomorrow are better equipped for the situation! Or, you know, we could avoid all of that if we just start getting along more with the other creatures"

That was the overarching theme really, was the classic Christmas Carol 'be better to those around you' but with slightly more dire consequences if not lol
