Its still crazy to me that I became obsessed in age gap situationship with gay subtext that I stumbled upon accidentally and all of them ended in separation, though there's a hint of reunion... Yep, they are also not technically BL like You Yao's focus is adventure comedy, Karaiko is about Satomi's adolescence, and Jinhongi is mystery solving.

You Yao (Are You Ok) - I like trying out new donghua. This a transmigration comedy donghua so I decided to give it a try. At first I thought they are going to push Lou Zhu adopting Zuo Yunqi because of Zuo Yunqi's bad relationship with his dad and Lou Zhu is a single rich business man so I'm surprised when they start giving implication they are going to be a pair. I don't like it at first but I got over it quickly since it felt like its the younger one who do the courting. I'm really not surprised why the readers reaction to the novel are like "I've been a BL fan for years and I didn't realized its has BL subtext until I finished it lol"

Karaoke Iko (Let's Go Karaoke) - Again, I'm soft to comedy story so I gave it a try. The teaser for this show is so funny. Yakuza Kyouji singing karaoke very passionately. I'm expecting something like Barakamon slice of life comedy vibe or Gintama but no its better than I expected. KaraIko gay subtext might not be as strong as Famiresu Iko(sequel) but you'll still feel it. That this kid developed a crush toward this scary Yakuza man. It look simple but its actually filled of interesting symbolism. As a Word of Honor fan, I'm really into unraveling subtle and hidden meanings so of course I will like it.

Jinhongi (Requiem for Wandering Souls) - I honestly thought this is the Panguan danmei anime adaption when I first saw it. Its actually a manhwa and that's only a clip from the MV. Surprisingly, the comedy is not the selling point for this but I do find it funny at times. They solve mysteries as hwarangs with villainous mentor and heroic junior disciple dynamic. But in the novel's extra story, the extra from Ja ha's(mentor) sword perspective it implied he and Seol Yeong have feelings for each other. No wonder fans are shipping them. In this setting, spiritual sword usually can feel the real feelings of their owner so you can never go wrong with that.
