New postcards have arrived in time for Goldsmith's Fair next month! The up-close-and-personal photographs were chosen to illustrate that I make all my pieces by hand in my workshop! Thanks to my daughter Suzy for the design and Action Press in Burgess Hill for the printing.

Jewellery

Much jewellery making has been happening right here the last couple of months, albeit both May bank holiday weekends when we were doing ‘Artist’s Open House’. I am doing my best to keep my lovely new workbench organised as I make a number of private commissions and also new pieces, utilising star sapphires, emeralds and morganites, for a couple of exciting exhibitions later in the year.

Our home Streat Place Barn is once again opening it’s big Barn doors to everyone for Artists Open House on both May Bank Holiday weekends!

Opening times: 11am-5pm on Sat 5, Sun 6 & Mon 7 May Sat 26, Sun 27 & Mon 28 May

I will be showing my recent jewellery collections alongside Steve’s work in wood. Our guest artists are local painter Sasha Turnbull, local potter Gill Kay and knitwear designer Linda Dooley - all with beautiful spring-time collections.

My daughter Suzy will be serving her delicious homemade cakes with tea or coffee - to enjoy in the Barn or if sunny on the lawn.

Jewellery

These beautiful textiles are from one of my favourite books and are providing ideal inspiration for a new collection of jewellery I have been asked to design for SBMC in Lahore, Pakistan. SBMC specialise in machine-cutting beads from semi-precious stones found in Pakistan and have commissioned a collection that reflects the rich diversity of stones that include Lapis Lazuli, Garnets, Riverstones.
