SHANGHAI HIGH
Shanghai is noted for having more Art Deco buildings than any other city. But like many cities in China, Shanghai’s rapid growth has meant a boon in contemporary architecture styles.
This month Shanghai Tower has taken the title of China's tallest building, at more than twice the height of London's Shard. Downtown now includes three iconic towers - the 2,073ft-tall Shanghai Central Tower, the 1,377ft-tall Jinmao Tower, and the 1,620ft-tall Shanghai World Financial Centre, all only a short drive from Sofitel Shanghai Hyland.
