I listened to BEAT TAPE 38 by Your Best Friend Jippy

Earlier today I saw a video that sample the first song on this album(?) and I immediately wanted more. I eventually found BEAT TAPE 38 and was immediately blown away by the soft beats, the cozy, lofi record crackling, AND THE VOCAL SAMPLING OH MY GOD THE VOCAL SAMPLING. It's gotta be one of most standout features of this. Between the chopping of sentences in You Make Me Shine, the modulation into a synth in Cloud Ears, or one of the many conversations heard on the tail end and front of every track.

On the subject of these conversations. I'm unaware of their origins but they bring the whole album together aesthetically. They create this very specific, very comfortable vibe that can only be describe as a bonfire at dusk.

This collection of beats is incredible. If you have 2 hours to kill, listen to BEAT TAPE 38.
