cont. [x] Please, let him go! He’s so dear to me!
At those words, screamed in his mind, Seth froze. He too had once been in love, many thousand years ago. He knew how it felt and he could not deny it to the boy.
Suddenly, the cobra vanished, so did the jackal’s head and the nemes headdress. Jiseok was dropped to the ground as Sunny’s height reduced to his normal one instead of Seth’s. Even he fell to his knees. Fights with Seth were usually like this. Short but exhausting. And nauseating. But this time, all his attention was focused on Jiseok’s fingers that the God had spat out along with blood and saliva.
He flinched and moved away from them but his mouth was covered in blood. The most worrying was Jiseok’s hand. “Oh no. No, no, no, no, no.” He crawled to his finger and gently took his wrist. His hands were shaking as he fumbled to take his shirt off and wrap one sleeve around the other male’s hand to stop the bleeding. “I’m so sorry. I’m sorry, he shouldn’t have done that. Oh my God… are you okay?”
Jiseok had no idea of what had happened, a moment before he was annoyingly teasing Kwang Sun, and now he found himself with empty lungs, back pressed against the hard and cold wall, his throat constricted and an unbearable puncturing pain on his hand. He was deaf to the God’s words, a ringing on his ears was all he could hear, vision blurry, unaware that there were tears pooling at his eyes from all the circumstances he was trapped in at the moment. If he was struggling, if he was kicking and squirming in an attempt to free himself, he was absolutely not conscious about it.
His body hitting the floor had him inhaling a sharp breath, lungs filling with an unnecessary amount of oxygen, but he had lost all control over his body and his reflexes, not even the thoughts on his mind made any sense to him at the moment, a jackal’s head, Kwang Sun’s face, blood, all those images flashed on his mind before he could focus on his shaking hand, which was now missing a finger and a chunk of a second one. What had he just done?
The sound of Kwang Sun’s voice, along with the touch over his wrist made him flinch, and he pulled both his hand and himself away, bumping against the wall once more as his weak body failed to stand up. He didn’t know his eyes had turned completely white, nor that his fangs had pulled out threateningly as he hissed loudly at the male, all out of instinct and being injured, but it was the sound of his own growl what finally cleared the haze in his mind and with a strong shudder of his whole body he could finally focus his vision properly on the worried male in front of him.
“S- sunny...” Jiseok spoke breathlessly, concerned about the look on the male’s face before the pain of his hurt hand hit him again in another wave and he fumbled to finish wrapping his wound with the male’s shirt as he had first attempted to do. “Oh shit- so it w- wasn’t a really vivid nightmare, h- hu?” His words were as shaky as his hand, feeling himself falling into shock, yet he tried his best to focus on the male’s face to keep his calm. “Jihwan...” He mentioned his older brother before swallowing thickly and glanced around in search of his phone. “we need to- get a hold of him... q-quick.”
