the best thing about working at a cat cafe, was the fact that most of his breaks were spent cuddling kittens--- it didn’t really get any better than that, did it? but perhaps the WORST thing about working at a cat cafe, by far, is that the other 3 and half-ish hours were spent watching other people cuddle kittens while you make them drinks. it was pure, agonizing torture--- and minsoo still had two solid hours of it left.
a sigh filters through his lips, his manager grabbing his attention a moment later and gesturing at him to fix the mandatory cat ears. fucking furries, he grumbles to himself, pushing the hood of his sweatshirt down, and settling the cat ears atop his ruffled locks, instead ( he thought the ears looked quite fetching on top of his hood, actually. but what on earth does he know? ). a moment later, he gets back to wiping up the counters behind the register, mostly just in an attempt to make himself look busy while no one was ordering anything. he’s quick to slap on his customer-service ready smile when he hears the bell chime above the front entrance, tossing the rag aside and heading back towards the register. his demeanor, of course, only changes the moment he notices who it is.
oh lovely. “you make any comments about the cat ears, and i’ll spit in your coffee,” he threats with a quirked eyebrow, despite the second half of the sentence practically being whispered--- the last thing he wanted was other customers ( or his manager especially ) thinking he spits in random people’s americanos.
