{`her gaze was rewarded with a subtle arch of a brow and the delicate brush of his tongue across his bottom lip, but nothing more. she was comparatively similar to one or two others he had met before, the brunette's aura was a striking match to the kind of women he liked. he’d always possessed the ability to sense a powerful and compelling person when in their general presence — and this woman, for all intents and purposes, was of little to no exception} You make it hard not to stare.

{ `attention briefly diverts downward to his mouth when his tongue darts out to trace across his lower lip in subtle fashion that goes unmissed by her - attractive enough to acknowledge, he does not appear completely human to her selective senses, no one does these days she guesses. but the curiosity & admiration towards her is not that all foreign to her days spent on this plane in this corporal form - she is often approached for similar reasons, a figment of an unnatural quality drawing humans and other entities to her like a moth to a flame, the first words out of their mouths you feel different; her face & body were both crafted by the delicate hands of higher beings to appeal to the masses of individuals she has to slaughter, features gathered from the molds of females who the humans crave - neatly compiled to complete the bodily work that serves as the beckon of the end to everyone she meets } I do? Not my original intention for today, but you can’t be blame there. { `the words were near arrogant as they left her mouth, but her tone is matter-of-fact in an off-handed manner that makes it appear as if she is speaking casually to him, though a hint of self-righteous is always present underneath when she talks to anyone }

{`a smile crossed the curve of his mouth, amused by how excited she’d managed to get over the idea, whilst a dark gaze remained steadfast with hers} You would have to catch me in order to pie me, and I hate to brag on myself but I’m good at hiding.

[/A brow lifted, piquing in curiosity.] You are, are you? [/There was a tone in her voice that could have somewhat resembled disbelief.] Aren't we too old to be playing hide and seek? Cat and mouse, whatever you want to call it... but, ah, now that you have bragged it makes me want to see how good you really are. [/Her eyes flitted up and down his form, once, twice, three times before resting upon his features again.] But not now hm? How about I buy you a coffee to apologize for earlier? Unless you're more of a tea person.. but then again fast food works too... don't worry, I promise to stay away from pies for now.

{` if there was one thing he had to abide by, it was a schedule. they kept him sane. they kept him out of the clutches of his own unrelentingly covetous design. without them, he would be scattered, greed flourishing. and just as a moth to a flame, he was drawn toward anything that would give him the opportunity to scratch one bullet off the list. he had been working overtime, thus irritable in every sense of the word, but it didn't stop him from slowing down and doing a double take, head cocked}

{ `a string of massacres in one part of the world, bodies flooding the ocean after an unexpected tsunami, and driving all these who are on the verge of suicide to actually committing the act, Death considers herself to be quite active these days; the wars had lessened, countries settled their disinterests in one another with the help of drawn out treaties and elaborate discussions inside the spaces of rooms, she only vaguely recalls reaping the souls from war-torn individuals, the most intense battles she experienced over her lifetime would have shoved the weaker humans into insanity, but she recalls the events of the Vietnam War as accurate as she does the Trojan War  - her brother War was definitely not doing what he needs to & though she was twice as powerful as him, she does not care to go out of her way to set him straight. When she feels the eyes on her back, she pauses slightly in her steps - black, silver spiked heels audible clicks against the surface of the sidewalk; but her momentum keeps her moving forward, her head turning around slightly as her gaze fall on him, dark lips rising in a near self-satisfied smile, bathing in all the arrogance that fills her to the core }

{`a smile was good, J had spent his entire life reading people, being what they wanted given into their demands and acting just to get what he wanted, he knew good smiles, bad smiles, smiles loaded with malicious intent, smiles meant to hurt him, and he knew smiles that hadn't been on faces for a long time, like the one on hers} I think I'll pass on the pie in the face myself. Though you have my explicit permission to attempt it in the future when I'm not expecting it.

You’ll pass on the pie in your face? Aw, J! [/She exclaimed, her voice laced with a child-like playfulness] I’m disappointed you know? Why you gotta pass hm? You never know, you might even like it. It  could be fun, hey who knows, maybe It will taste better after it’s been rubbed around your face! [/Before she could even finish her sentence  girlish giggles had slipped through her lips, filling the space they occupied.] Aigoo.. you shouldn’t have said that, I’ll get you J, I’ll get you good.

A good way to start a friendship don't you think? A pie in the face and the case of mistaken identity. {`the smile on his face was made entirely of potential, lingering quietly even when the laughter had died down, and still shining through, his small ray of sunshine bouncing and refracting and fading slightly within him, reflecting just a small fraction of a genuine good mood, rare given his recent track record} The V and J story. There we go, sounding a bit like an act again.

What other way is there to start a friendship? [/The automaton mused aloud, allowing both shoulders to rise and then fall moments after in a short lived shrug. The smile that had etched its way into her lips only widened, for the first time in a long time, seeming genuinely humored.] But for now, I think we’ll skip the pie step, unless you really want to get pied in the face; it’s a whole different ball game then. I’d happily oblige J.
