- She smokes when things get overly tense/stressful or when she is too anxious.

- She has two names: The one she was given at birth by her parents and family and the name she picked herself after abandoning the clan.

The name Jiyū was chosen for its meaning, which is freedom/liberty; she admits that one of the reasons why she picked such name was to provoke and mock the Zenin clan.

- She has this weird habit of start talking about conspiracy theories out of nowhere, especially when she is with people she sees as close friends.

- Just like her brothers she is very good at physical combat, it apparently runs in their blood.

- Her reputation is not the best; she mostly enjoys working alone and only follows rules when she agrees with them or when they benefit her.

- After an incident where she was framed by Geto’s Family, she gets accused of being a curse user by her then good friend, Utahime Iori, but Jiyū and most of the Tokyo Jujutsu High don’t agree with that claim.

I pretty much only have oc x canon when it comes to my humanoid characters so I hope these count. :P

My favorite has to be the relationship between Myline and Itachi! Maybe it is because of how tragic, yet, so meaningful (at least for me) it is...it is different, it's not about kissing, hugging or intimate moments, it's about trust, tolerance, comprehension, support and mutual help.

I actually have a post about their dynamics here that I will go ahead and share because it was completely ignored back then. ^^'

I wish I could draw myself, but unfortunately I can't, so I don't really have any oc couple art I did myself. :( While I've never really focused on my characters relationships when it comes to writing (As in, I've never wrote anything that was fully romance or fluff), I am trying to write romance a bit more now but since english is not my first language I am guessing most of my followers will not be able to understand everything. :') (I'm portuguese)

I've recently been completely addicted to this song because I noticed how good and relatable are the lyrics, but mostly because it reminds me so damn much of Jiyu?

It begins with how innocent she was throughout her first years of life. Born as Misuzu Zenin and apparently healthy woman from such a promising bloodline in the Zenin clan, she was nurtured and met with the highest, almost unrealistic, expectations, it almost felt like privilege for a kid so young, but it was far from that; it was a bloody curse to which she'd wake up to soon enough.

They nurtered her, not out of love, but out of control and pure pride, that became clear when she began to be exposed to the misogynist ideals of her clan. But it was only when they found her to be a disappointment that things started to get worse. The clan found her technique interesting and useful but she was never able to meet their expectations. The only way she'd be useful for them would be by passing it down.

As she aged and matured, her feeling of revolt started to get warmer inside her chest, her behavior started to change from a quiet, disciplined and submissive to a more daring and less tolerant nature, especially around her cousin, Naoya, who was about to regret all the bullying she suffered at his hands. He was the first victim of her poison. It was humiliating and the clan automatically took action. Toji, who at the time was already with Megumi's mother, would then hear about such actions and take her under his wig, by force.

That's the beginning of her journey to find out who she really is. All she ever knew was who the Zenin clan wanted her to be. She finally changes styles, from a more soft and clean look that she was forced to wear, to a more alternative one, that years later would get more "gothish". Later she'd also finally change her name as an act of revolution against the Zenins. Her new chosen name would be Jiyu, which means "Freedom/Liberty". She loves to mock them with her new name. Jiyu becomes an independent and fearless woman, being so familiar with the feeling of fear during her childhood made her immune to it; she'd rather see her own end than ever being afraid or submissive ever again.

First time doing this kind of thing, always saw others doing it but my motivation was lacking. In order to distract my head from recent real life events, I decided that it was finally time to do one of these for my Jujutsu Kaisen OC, Jiyu.

It took me longer than what I'd like to admit and I added other kind of relationships to the chart because the original only had a few options, this is supposed to be a relationship chart for Jiyu, not a shipping chart like it says at the left top. Anyway, I think it is easy to understand, but basically, the arrows mean what or how Jiyu sees/feels about each canon character and how they see/feel about her too. The arrows are pointed towards the recipient, so, basically, the first arrow is how Jiyu feels/sees the other character and the second is how that same canon character sees/feels about her.

I feel like only me and a friend of mine will understand the Megumi one and I'm in the mood to yap, so......basically the reason why his is "Family > Never Met > Family again" is because Jiyu was taken from the Zenin clan by her brother when he finally settled down with Megumi's mother, so she spent these few years with them, as she was still on her early teen years and needed help to fend for herself yet. Unfortunately since his mother passed away soon after his birth, Megumi imprinted more with his aunt for his first years of life because Toji was too broken for that so she constantly helped with the baby, until eventually Toji sold him. It was extremely hard on her, she felt bad and guilty but there was nothing she could really do and admiting that really took a toll on her mental health at the time. Because she was gone and presumed dead after being framed by Geto's new group and forced to show up during the Culling Game, Megumi finally meets her again, he doesn't really recognizes her but her voice brings him a feeling os safety that he is not able to understand at the time.

Also, I still couldn't afford an artist to draw Jiyu, so...she still has no face. D:

So, I was talking with my friend yesterday about how our Jujutsu Kaisen OC's would act if they were on Twitter and there I was, making some fake Twitter screenshots for my character. I feel like Jiyu would honestly end up banned from Twitter at some point, especially considering her big damn mouth and lack of shame. LMAO

By the way, the explanation behind the hour, avatar and handler I picked is the following: Jiyu is crazy for creepy stuff, especially conspiracy theories and creepypastas. The 3AM represents not only the witching hour but also how much of a creep she is, kinda like a creep creature crawling around the internet at 3AM instead of being asleep. Hehe

And by the way, all of them have only 1 like and it's Nanami's. Every. Single. Time. That's what you get for being the weird kid.

By the way, a cute headcanon I have for my JJK OC and her bestie, Nanami that I would like to share with you all:

So, Jiyu has selective mutism (caused by the trauma her family inflicted on her during her development) and never had the resources to learn sign language, from the abuse and forced training within the clan to her escape with her brother, Toji, she really had a rough life before getting into the Tokyo Jujutsu High.

The first time Nanami experienced a crisis of her selective mutism, he automatically wanted to do something for her, so, to start, he had the idea of creating a small notebook, small enough so that she could easily bring with her on her pockets. He drew and wrote every single possible interaction by hand, which added so much sentimental value to his gesture. But he wasn't satisfied.

So what did Nanami do? He decided to give her the sweetest birthday gift ever: He learned sign language himself so he could teach her himself during their free time so he could be able to communicate with her properly during these crisis.

We stan Nanami in this house.

There is this version of Survivor that I really love the vibes of it and just had a very amazing daydreaming moment with my JJK OC, Jiyu (that I barely talk about, poor baby) while listening to it and now I am feeling so damn inspired, I am gonna scream.

I'm pretty sure I never talked about this here (I should talk more about her, but she has no art so yeah T_T) but after her trust in Geto was betrayed and then later was framed by Geto's Family and accused of being a curse user by her then bestfriend, Utahime, she disappeared, only leaving behind a letter full of her usual morbid humor that she uses to mask her feelings.

Years passed without any sign of her and people started to theorize she could be dead, especially the ones who had access to the letter back in the day. But she wasn't.

She eventually shows up during the culling game, surprising them and that's the scene where I imagine this song playing. Automatically my mind pictured the scene, happening like 30 seconds before the episode ends to leave everything on a cliffhanger; Jiyu slowly coming out of the shadows, only her silhouette visible until the light starts to unveil who she is, ending with a close up shot of her eyes, who are very easy to tell apart from the other characters because of her light violet iris and the black lines below her eyes. Also, in my mind the song would start with a lower volume, progressively getting louder as she walks towards the light and would stop at the first "I'm a survivor".

This would never happen if she was a canon character though, as she is just a grade 2 sorcerer, far from being special, but hey, she can still have her moments, right? LMAO I need to touch some grass, it seems.
