Crazy but Spring is coming to a close, I have one more Spring painting before we move on to the Summer.

The original idea for this painting was from an Inktober drawing I did back in 2024 day 8. I was a bit overwhelmed throughout the whole process but eventually got into the flow of things.

I wonder how long it took Ryoga this time to get back home?

My friend Hans and I did an art trade, and we picked a theme of Japanese folklore!

I went with inspiration from forest shrines, Inari temple foxes, Jizo statues, nekomata and tanuki. I really wanted it to feel cosy and like something typical of what I enjoy painting, since it was for a trade. This is a smol watercolour, as you might be able to see in the progress pics if you swipe right.

I really enjoyed working on this one, and I'm super pleased with how it came out! It was so exciting to post it to my friend and get an original piece back. There's is really cute and fun, please check it out! I absolutely love it. 😊
