Still a bit rough but I am getting used to Krita. By this point I still hadn't used my new edited brushes though. Practicing gives me a good excuse to paint Airi.

Rough draft of Momochi. I have been tweaking my brush as I have been painting. It still isn't quite there yet, but it is getting better. One thing I do prefer in Krita is the blender. It softens and merges the colors the best way out of all the art programs I've tried.

I guess I had lost the brush that I remembered trying out weeks ago. This one isn't lagging like the other smeary brush. I ended up editing the brush a bit and removed the texture it was using. I'll be modifying it as I use it throughout the year. Next test is when I paint the main subject.

This will be the background for Airi's painting. I switched from Fire Alpaca to Krita.

Line art of Bianca from Loki IRL. Next time I will join them all together.

Another test using Krita, this time with color again. There's this blending brush that I downloaded that works really well. Just a shame I can't do it all with just one brush. But I guess if I just add the brushes I use to my favorites it shouldn't take that much longer than with Corel Painter. The current smeary brushes don't quite act like I want though, plus it stutters when I paint in the usual large canvas of 9,000px.
Some brushes act like I would expect and others either don't or lag at the size I need it. Luckily I can make my own brushes so it will take some time to adjust to my style.
Hasta la proxima,
-NUBE
Here is Loki's line art. Decided to go with a "hatching" look to differentiate him from the other characters. I wonder how it will look when I eventually paint it.
Hasta la proxima,

Here is another test with Krita, this time in black and white. I chose Airi as the subject. I found more brushes that emulate what I prefer so I hope it works out better once i add in color.
Hasta la proxima,
-NUBE
I'm currently trying to learn how to use Krita. This painting was done with nothing but the default brushes. None of them worked like the one's in Corel Painter so it felt a bit uncomfortable. Luckily, I recently found brushes that work with my style.
Hasta la proxima,

Have been currently busy with a number of things and having to learn some new ones. But hopefully I will be back up and running soon.
In the meantime here is the line art of the Skum Cola Lady.

Rough draft of Pan Pizza's Loki for a future piece.

I finally get the chance to upload this painting of Sylvia. It's been waiting for weeks. But because of that I was able to do edits along the way. I tried playing around with various lighting techniques on this one.

While looking through my references I got inspired to draw someone with Pan Pizza's Skum Cola.
