Your interest in our traditional dance makes me soooo happy though. It seems harder to get more kids to join our group each year. CDTO has been around since the mid 90s, and there used to be a lot of dancers and volunteers. Now we can barely find guys for our folk dances. I think a lot of it has to do with the parents not encouraging their kids, or some inside drama that's turned people off from joining. I don't really know, but I'm hoping to turn it around by next year and building a stronger and bigger group of kids and adults that are passionate about their culture and our community.

I went to KU just for a summer program and loved it. But there were dark days and you just need to keep that in mind before you invest mentally, physically, emotionally, and financially. Just think about it a lot and good luck to you!

thank you for the advice ^_^ I have been thinking about it a lot. Thinking about how hard it might be at times and things that I may not like there. Usually I think of a way that I can make it easier in order to deal with whatever it is. I know I still need to think a bit more though since even though my heart would be committed to going, my head isn't 100% there yet haha
