My dog Dachshund Chamggae likes Jjinppang.
My dog Dachshund Chamggae likes Jjinppang.
As the weather gets colder, Chamggae is no longer welcome to go out. Chamggae really hate cold weather. Chamggae seems to think that cold weather threatens her because of her memory of wandering alone in the middle of winter.
When the weather gets cold, Chamggae enjoys the sun all day long in the living room. I heard that when it gets cold already, dogs’ appetite increases to accumulate fat. It’s…

Korean Foods That I Have Tried
I want to post something a bit different today. I want to post about something I love more than anything else. Food. It's like the best and worst thing ever. The best because you can find something amazing and the flavors. Mmmm. The worst because well the obvious reason, the weight it causes you to gain (;^;) if you eat too much. And because this is a kpop blog I thought I should post about the Korean foods and deserts that I have tried.
Dukbokki - I love this. Like this is the most addicting and unhealthy but healthy thing I have tried in sooo long. Garaetteok (the large white pasta like things) is so chewy. Like think of it as a marshmallow that is tougher and decided to be made out of rice flour instead of marshmallow stuff. Its not sweet though. It is spicy and I hate spicy food in genral. So I only had a bit of the original sause (....forgot what its called. That spicy devil.) But I felt I was missing the full taste so every time since then I had to put corn and other veggies into mine to balance out the main spiciness. Its good but warning there is a ton of sodium in this so if your face easily bloats I would not recommend eatting so much at once.
Mandu - I have tried this. But only when I know the meat is chicken, I would eat it from time to time if it was pork but never beef for personal reasons. Its like a basic dumpling I want to say. Like gyoza but the taste is a bit different but at the same time not so. I do like eatting it with soy sause but..hmm I guess I mix some random things into my soy sause to add flavors. (I like complicated tastes.)
Jjinppang - If someone told me I could only eat one thing a day and for a year I will pick this. Always. My love for steam buns is just too much. I usually get two when I order this if I am in a restraunt. So I can eat it two ways, like a sandwich or tearing it. It really is a handheld meal though. It has the veggies, meat and bread. I don't think it is always like this because I have read different people describe it. But the person who makes mine uses a sause at times not all the time but she does this. Anyway this is heaven in your mouth. The soft outside and hearty inside.
Kimchi - I have tried this. But it was only 2 weeks fermented and was cabbage ( I like cabbage over radish). It was good, the taste is something....strong? I don't know. It was like all of the ingredients at once, so it was like a punch to your tongue's tastebuds. I want to try it again but older, I feel it would taste totally different to me if I do this. It is good with rice, like if you have it with plain rice you can get full from it quickly but that just might be me and my weird ness.
Bibibig - Basically the amazingness of red bean in ice cream form. I can someone dislike this? Its like vanilla with red bean taste but it gets better. There are red bean bits in it.
Bungeoppang Ice Cream - Yummy and addicting. Like I can eat three of these in a blink of the eye if I am not careful. Its like think of having an ice cream that is shaped like a fish but the outside is made of ice cream cone and the inside looks like a sandwich. Like on the bottom is a thick slap (this soungs like a funny word xD) of vanilla ice cream and on top of that is red bean paste spread onto it. It doesn't melt quickly I noticed and I like that. Like I can have them in my shopping bag for 20 mins before I decide to start eatting them and they just feel softish but not 'omg its melting too much I need to mash this into my mouth'.
Bungeoppang - Thank goodness the place where I buy this is no where near my home or I would just go there everyday no matter what weather and buy too much. Its like the ice cream version but no ice cream and the outside is bread and its warm. I love this. But then again I just really love red bean paste so this is the perfect type of snack/desert for me. I heard you can make it with a waffle maker but that is too complicated for me.
Hotteok - It thought it was a pancake. I seriously did. My friend made some and I helped (Meaning I pointed at the ones I wanted, drooled over them and put the mix into them.). They can only be eatten warm or hot to me. Never cold because it gives off a different feeling and doesn't give you the same 'mwah' feeling when eating it hot. But it basically taste like a pancake that was fried but has a magical tasting filling that tastes mostly like sweet cinnamon covered peanuts.
I do want to try Patbingsu. Like it is my goal to try it because it looks so good. I do know there is a ton of spelling errors. It's just tumblr doesn't allow me to stroll up so I can't fix them.
I ordered some Japanese snacks I have been putting off trying and I will post my thoughts on them even if they aren't really Korean haha.
