Hello everyone! Right now in Michigan, state officials are trying to pass a bill that would be very harmful to citizens. The bills would speed up the process for getting gravel mines by taking away the say and voices of individuals who would be affected by these mines. With these bills, the state government would be able to bypass the local government completely and no citizen would get a say in what happened. The bill would also likely lead to a lower quality of life for the people living nearby, with no policy in place to protect or assist them. Please sign this petition to go against these bills and instead support a bill that provides a compromise between the two sides! (more information is available in the link).
