REVIEW OF THE DARKEST STAR BY JENNIFER L. ARMENTROUT
This review is spoilerfree but I gotta say that it will make you curious tho.
Okay can we please start with something I can not get enough of called Luc. And yes i loved him even before the darkest star came out but how could you not. I know a lot of people think he is literally just like Daemon and Evie is exactly like Katy but that is not true. Yeah, Jennifer has a Faible for mysterious badboys with a heart-crashing secret but that’s a book trope you literally can see in a lot of romance / fantasy books. Luc is very caring and doesn’t tell Evie to stay away from him. He just tells her to stay away from certain things and people. That, of course, is very mysterious but something people could have expected. Daemon on the other hand was telling Katy like over half of the book (Obsidian/Lux series) to leave his sister and him alone. Katy and Evie aren’t the same too. Katy was very spirited and she never hesitated to say what she thinks when Daemon was going off on her. Evie isn’t really like that, she is more of a stubborn type who let’s you think that she is going to do what you want her to do but in reality she is doing the exact opposite. That doesn’t make her a bad character though. Just a very curious one who would do a lot to get answers. All in one the book was very good and really exciting. It was funny at one point and then it was making you cry at the other point. The problems that Evie, our main character, has to face are very rough and you often won’t like how she handles things but she is relatable and realistic. I would recommend the book to everyone and it’s not a must do to read the Lux Series before reading the Origin Series. Even though I would recommend the Lux series to, well, everyone. Jennifer l. Armentrout is a really talented writer and her books are worth reading.
(btw i’m sorry for my grammar mistakes! english is not my first language but i tried :) )
