This is a very pretty 56 that I got off of Marketplace. I decided to name her Norma as I feel she is the AG doll who looks most like Marilyn Monroe. I bought her the Southwest travel outfit because it's both cute and I think it goes good with the Marilyn theme. She was originally in an older denim outfit when she was given to me. Marilyn Monroe was born in California to a Midwestern family who had traveled west and even were in Mexico for some time escaping the droughts. Marilyn's mother was even born in Mexico IIRC. I struggle with curly hair especially short curly hair, but trying my best. Made her a bracelet with her name on it. Happy I gave 56 an identity. lol.

They're starting a band.

As a birthday present to myself, I decided to complete the Short Hair Gang and get myself a JLY 56. So here she is!

Mostly in good shape, as you can see, but the hair needed work. But first up was the usual magic eraser bath I give all my new dolls.

All squeaky clean! Now for the hair--most of the back and side curls were easy to fix, but the two front curls on either side of her head are pretty stretched out and have a weird amount of lift.

Which the headband that goes with this outfit was perfect for! Eventually, I'll probably break out the doll hair curlers and try to fix them permanently, but for now, I've just styled them so they're covered up by the other, better formed curls.

I've decided on the name Remy and I'm pretty happy to have all the short-haired (defined by me as above shoulder length) dolls now!
