Drama-Pieces #6: “Sassy, Go Go”
Hello, guys! Another drama’s review is serving you now :) This week, I come up with the drama named, “Sassy Go Go” or “Cheer Up”. It’s a high school drama. I'm not much watching a high school drama one, but I need to say that this drama is attractive to me since I’ve read the plot. And after watching this, I don’t regret at all. It’s so much fun and give a lot of things to me.
Sassy, Go Go ( 발칙하게 고고 ) is high school, romance, and youth genre with the total number of 12 episodes. It aired on Channel KBS2 from October 5, 2015, to November 10, 2015.
Main cast:
Jung Eun-Ji as Kang Yeon-Doo Lee Won-Geun as Kim Yeol Chae Soo-Bin as Kwon Soo-AHa Cha Hak-Yeon as Dong-Jae Ji Soo as Seo Ha-Joon
-- Plot --
The drama is about high school students who have to struggle with pressure, future, friend, family and their club. There are 2 groups of students. One is students who are brilliant, rich and arrogant. Their ranks and grades are in Top 5 of the school whereas another group are students who love dancing and trying so hard to retain their club named ‘Real King’ from being dissolved. Their grades are very bad and pretty much in the last rank of the school. These 2 groups of students are an enemy to each other. However, there is a situation where they need to work together. They need to learn through each other by helping and leaning on each other, and also how to work as a team. Eventually, from their enemy relationship has turned into a true friendship.
High school life. The drama did pretty well in showing the high school life in Korea where there are a lot of pressure from the parents on their child, how they have to study hard to get a good grade and what they have to face during the high school life. Because there is a high competition in studying, the students need to study hard as to get a good grade and get in a good university. After watching this, I just feel relieved that my parents don’t put a lot of pressure on me like some other parents did with their child on the drama. Each student has a different problem. The story solved each character’s problem with the reason. It gives us a lesson in some way. I suggest not only teenager can watch, but the parents can also watch as well. So they will get understand their child better.
Villain who twisted to be the most pitiful character in the story. At first, Kwon Soo Ah is hated by most of the viewers including me. She is hated by her friends because she had done a lot of bad things to them just for her own sake of getting a good grade and get proudly by her mom. However, in the end, she turns out to be the most pitiful in the story. For what she did, she did as she want her mom to proud at her. Her mom has set a high expectation on her and doesn’t accept any failure which it causes Soo Ah to do a bad thing even it may hurt other people including her friends and teachers. I really like the ending of this scene when Soo Ah is trying to suicide, but her friend can help in time. Her friends record videos for her to cheer her up. This scene is really touched and warmth-heart.
Teachers who always support and understand their students. The drama also portrays on how the students and the teachers get close to each other. In this drama, the 2 teachers always stand for the right and fight for their students. Not many teachers that students can give a trust and a respect to them. This drama shows that there is still a teacher who will stay by the students’ side. If they have a problem or want to consult with, they can. Seriously, this drama really makes me cry several times!
Romance story. As it’s a high school drama genre so there is not much kiss sceneม but there is still some. When it comes romantic scenes, my cheeks brush so hard as they are very cute! I couldn’t stop smiling every time when the two leads are together. It gets funnier when the love line has twisted in which both of their parents are dating each other too! I have to thank the screenwriter for didn’t make their parents marry to each other or else the plot will turn into a soap opera which it wouldn’t be a great idea to do so.
Score: 7.5/10
I pretty enjoy watching this drama. It’s more fun than I thought and it gives me something that I couldn’t think of. It’s unrealistic in some part like the first 2 ep. that the female lead focuses too much on the club like she has nothing else to do rather than running the club. However, later on it starts to get more fun and interesting.
The meaning of true friendship I like the way that 2 enemy group have to do the cheerleading together. They begin to develop their relationship by doing many activities and pass all of the obstacles together. So, from being an enemy to each other, they start to get to know and take care of each other and their relationship has slowly changed to a true friendship. I have to admit that my eyes are always shading in tears while watching this drama. I didn’t expect to be touched by it, but it does really make me cry. I suggest you to watch this if you don’t mind watching the high school drama. The story line is more dramatic than you think. Watch it yourself and you will see!
Here’s the table shows the rating of this drama. The rating didn’t get mush high. Due to its rating, it probably is the reason why it’s cut down to have only 12 eps.
How was it?! Have you ever watch this? If you do, you can discuss with me! If you haven’t watched it yet, it may be a good option if there is nothing for you to watch. Thank you for reading my blog. I hope you enjoy my reviews so far <3
Damn Yankees- High school musical
Heyyyyyyyyyyyyyy.. How are you doing my friend? :)
For this post I'll talk on my music experience of my time in the USA!
Some of you might not know that I was an exchange student in US for a year. I was there from 2012-2013 and It had been a dream-come-true. Like honestly I couldn't asked for anything better. My life there was completely different from here.
Everything was different. Whether it's a time, culture, weather, people, races, food, continent, country.. I mean every single thing is different from my hometown. My host family lives at South Bend, Indiana. My mom name's Wendy. Dad name's Paul.
For me they are the best people I will have ever known.
They treated me like a real family. When I was there, I didn't feel homesick or anything at all. Time was running by so damn fast.
...
I think I need to stop talking about them. Otherwise my it's gonna be a flood from my tears.. I miss them so much..
Now let's get straight to the point.
My high school name is Clay high school. It is a fine art school that has a specialty in arts magnet. Clay specialize's in Dance, Music, Band, Orchestra, Choir, Drama, and Arts. There were lots of arts and music clubs for the student to join. Back in Thai high school, I did not even care to participate in any clubs because I knew it was gonna be lame. But for Clay, it seemed like I was interested in every single clubs there were.
Eventually I decided to audition for Clay's annually musical theater. At first I wanted to audition for the cast but then I realized my English were not as good as natives. So I canceled my plan. But then my American friend said I should go for a musician audition! because in order to perform a musical, a live music band is required! Now what's the waits? Go for it!
and so I want for an audition. It went well enough to get me in the band! I got to be in the guitarist position. Hoorayyyyyyy!
That year musical name was "Damn Yankeez"
Damn Yankees is a musical comedy with a book by George Abbott and Douglass Wallop and music and lyrics by Richard Adler and Jerry Ross. The story is a modern retelling of the Faust legend set during the 1950s in Washington, D.C., during a time when the New York Yankees dominated Major League Baseball. It is based on Wallop's novel The Year the Yankees Lost the Pennant. (Source from here)
Back then I didn't know what it actually meant (and still don't) :P
But yeah. As soon as I saw the notes and lines I was like
W!
T!!
F!!!
What the heck are these lines!!!!!!
But yes eventually I passed through it..
There were a total of 14 songs I needed to perform which I honestly had no idea what they were.. (and still don't..)
Here's the list of Damn Yankeez soundtracks
Overture
Six Months Out Of Every Year
Goodbye Old Girl
Blooper Ballet
Heart
Shoeless Joe from Hannibal, Mo
A Little Brains, a Little Talent
A Man Doesn't Know
Whatever Lola Wants
Who's Got the Pain?
The Game
Near to You
Those Were the Good Old Day
Two Lost Souls
I gained lots of music experiences from this musical show. It was my first time performing in foreign country and I proved that Asians are better than they thought :) hehe
Somehow I wish I could rewind back the time. As I mentioned, it was like a dream come true.
Souvenir de Suisse (final episode): Snow for the First Time in My Life
Salut! Welcome back to my trip in Suisse. Last time we have travelled in Paris and we have seen lots of things such as la Tour Eiffel and La Seine. This week’s post is the last page of my trip in France and Switzerland and the most memorable moment of me and my family. Let’s see what we have got today.
From France, we took a coach for more than 4 hours (if my memory serves) to a beautiful city of Lucerne in Switzerland. Lucerne is the most populous city in Central Switzerland and is located in a German-speaking region of Switzerland. So, everywhere we went in this city, we could hear people speaking in German all the time, unlike in Paris.
Instead of going directly into the centre of Lucerne, we decided to go to visit the most famous and visited snow mountain, Mount Titlis, first. Along the way to the mountain, we enjoyed with a beautiful picture of petite lovely houses made of wood with small garden in front of the houses. We saw herds of livestock freely roaming in a vast green field with the background of the snowy mountain standing gracefully in a distance. Although the time we went to Switzerland was not its winter and there was not snow falling down, we could feel that the weather was very satisfying, especially for Thais like us who are quite fed up with the heat in Thailand. We took lots of pictures even though we were still on the coach that was bringing us to the mountain because we all loved the way people here live peacefully with a pleasant clean air and naturally beautiful atmosphere. It must be more than a dream to wake up in the morning and see a lush green field with lovely animals and the enormous beautiful white mountain.
Before we went to Mount Titlis, we went in to a little town beside the mountain to have our lunch and take some photos with the town. We went to a little cute restaurant in the town which gave us not only perfect lunch for the day, but also an impressive scenary of the little town that has the white but colourful mountain as its background. After finishing our meal and strolling inside the town, we walked to the base of Mount Titlis in which we bought a ticket for a cable car that would take us up to the pinnacle of this Mount Titlis. As the cable car was escalating, a breathtaking view of the town with a turquoise lake was appearing in front of us. We were more than impressed by the view this wonderful city gave us.
Along the way up to the mountain, we talked with each other all the time and took lots of pictures. From the green field we had seen on the ground, now we began to see white snow appearing gradually as we were climbing this mountain. We stopped at a cable car station. There, we get out of the cable car and took another special cable car which gave us a 360 degree view as it was climbing up the mountain. This car is called “Rotair Titlis”. As we can see in the picture I borrowed from https://roamingcanadian.files.wordpress.com, the car could contain more than 20 people and could rotate itself so that we could see the snowy mountain in a new perspective.
Now we arrived at Klein Titlis, a spot near the top of the mountain where we visited an ice glacier cave. We entered this glittery ice glacier to see how beautiful it was inside. We had to walk with care because the ice floor was very slippery. I was almost slip over it but luckily I could grab a handrail before falling down. The atmosphere inside the cave was warm. We took some photos inside the cave.
After we visited the ice glacier cave, we walked up the the top of Mount Titlis. It was like a dream for me because, as a Thais, we do not see this kind of snowy mountain like what we saw in TV before. I felt that the fun and happiness was in front of me. Although I felt a little bit dizzy because of the height from the ocean level and the air pressure, I still enjoyed playing with snow and taking photos with my family.
We had a great time all along the trip today. After spending pur time on Mount Titlis, we went to the centre of Lucerne to see other must-not-miss attractions. We saw the Lion Monument, a relief of a lion injured and sorrowing because of the pain. The monument commemorates the death of Swiss Guards who were killed during the French Revolution in 1792. We also went to the Chapel Bridge or Kapellbrücke in German. This bridge is considered the oldest wooden bridge in Europe. The bridge stretches its arm across the Reuss River in the centre of Lucerne. On the bridge, there was a collection of old painting covering all along the bridge. We spent all of our evening on that bridge and around the city of Lucerne, where we will never forget.

After the Age of Ultron event resulted in another national incident with massive damages, the Avengers are under political pressure creating a system to examine and control all the superheroes action. The new situation splits the Avengers into half while they try to protect the world from a new villain.
"It has to do with the effects of Ultron and Sokovia, and New York City, and Washington D.C. Examining the third acts of all the Marvel movies, we’re saying, if you could point to the collateral damage in all those incidents, could you use that against the Avengers to control them?” - Joe Rosso

“I have always been a huge fan of Spider-Man, and growing up, I had countless Spider-Man costumes,” he told us. “Only two years ago did I go to a fancy dress party dressed as Spider-Man. I had this awesome morph suit where you can put your phone on your chest and spiders would crawl across the costume, it was awesome! Chicken Curry
One of my all-time favorite Indian foods is chicken curry. I can still remember the taste of it even though I haven’t had it in two years. So today I’m going to explain to you on how to cook a bowl of chicken curry-- one of the most delicious food in the world. To recall all wonderful old time memories, let’s see how it’s done.
First of all, let’s know all the ingredients
· 1 kg chicken pieces of your choice, skin removed
· 2 large onions sliced thin
· 2 large tomatoes diced
· 2 tbsps garlic paste
· 1 tbsp ginger paste
· 2 tsps coriander powder
· 1 tsp cumin powder
· 1/2 tsp turmeric powder
· 1/2 tsp red chilli powder
· 2 tsps garam masala powder
· 4 tbsps vegetable/ canola/ sunflower cooking oil
· Chopped coriander to garnish
And now the preparation part
· Put the oil in the pan and heat it, then fry the onions till it turns golden brown. Remove frying onions from the oil with a slotted spoon and drain on paper towels. Turn off fire.
· Grind the onions into a smooth paste in a food processor (incase you don’t have a food processor, just use any other thing that are suitable for grinding or use your hand). And then remove into a separate container.
· Now grind the tomatoes, garlic and ginger pastes together into a smooth paste (the more smooth it gets, the more aroma sense it will give (it will be more delicious when it’s done).
· Heat the remaining oil again and add the onion paste. Fry for 2-3 minutes. Now add the tomato paste and all the spices and then mix well.
· Fry the masala (Indian spice) till the oil begins to separate from it.
· Add the chicken to the masala and cook until the chicken turn beautifully brown (umm did you smell that).
· Add 1 or 1/2 cup of hot water to the chicken depending on the amount, simmer and cover. Cook till the chicken is tender (almost thereJ).
· Garnish with chopped coriander and serve with the one and only-- hot chapatis (Indian flatbread), Naans (tandoor-baked Indian flatbread) or plain boiled rice.
And done
PS. eating it with hand is the best :-)
