Fifteen. A Song that is a Cover from Another Artist, Lets see... AJJ's cover of the Silver Jews' "Candy Jail" Its not super different then the original, but just different enough to be its own thing, and I like both it and the original

Twenty. A Song That Has Many Meanings to You Jason Molina (as Songs: Ohia)'s "Farewell Transmission", which for my money is the best lyrically written song to exist. I am answering this too tired to actually go into the meanings it has for me, but please listen and find your own!

Twenty Eight. A Song From an Artist Whose Voice You Love, "Cats Are Not Lucky Creatures" by The World/Inferno Friendship Society. Jack Terricloth had his own unique voice and no one else was doing what he was doing.

Seers moon and castle in the dark?? 👀🤲

Hi bi! Thank you for the ask!

Seer’s Moon is the work in progress title for a novel I’ve been technically working on for years and years. It takes place in a world going through its industrial revolution. Magic exists, called the Sight, and it involves manipulating the aetherial patterns of things, but it almost inevitably leads to the person becoming a monstrosity or at best just dying with minimal collateral damage in a process called Rejection. As such, there is an independent guild that goes around administering elixirs that will remove the Sight from people that have free reign throughout most of the world to operate. 

The book primarily follows to characters: Sam a former member of the guild who left it to become a bounty hunter after a disasterous mission finally caused her to act on the doubts she had about the morality of the guild and leave; and Toren, a stevedore in the independent city state of Croix who occasionally does work for the city’s mysterious crimelord. 

Sam learns that her former mentor in the guild - who had taken her from a life of petty street crime and has been missing for years - has been sighted again, and the Guild hires her to track him down. Meanwhile Toren learns his brother has gone missing after recieving a letter written in a coded language and covered in runes.

Its a novel of magic and conspiracies and intrigue and human failings, and I do very much hope to one day finish it. 

Castle in the Dark is one of the projects I am working on for the Genesys Foundry, a setting book based around Castlevania - like gothic horror. Genesys is the updated and made setting agnostic version of the Edge of the Empire/Age of Rebellion/Force and Destiny Star Wars Roleplaying system. The Foundry is this cool program the company does with drivethrurpg to let people to sell their homebrew creations for Genesys. 

Races you can play in Castle in the Dark included humans (of course), dhampir (of course), shifters (werwolves are the default but not restricted to just that), revenants (those who were dead brought back to life, ala Frankenstein’s monster)  tainted (those whose soul is tainted in some way by the Dark. the specific inspiration for this is Soma and the villains of the Castlevania Gameboy Advance/DS games), and more. 

There are light, dark, and earthly magics, living castles, corrupt churches, and people just trying to do their best in a medieval gothic world where humanity knows deep down it's rather low on the food chain.
