I was so nervous to meet Julia’s parents, Mr. and Mrs. Wright. But they were very nice and they seemed to like me. Her mother served a delicious dinner and I played a hand of cards with her father. I asked him for his permission to marry his daughter - and he gave it to me. Julia and I stepped out onto the balcony to celebrate the good news.
