Joachim/Hector + silver >:3

Joachim hadn't been born with white hair. It was the result of his undead body failing, craving blood and nourishment and anything that wasn't the damp air of his cell and the awful sound of the water running around him.

So, he was quite concerned when he met Dracula's general. The human swore that he was born with his silver hair and there was nothing wrong with him.

The boy was lying, of course. His blood keenly smelled of evil magic... what little blood he had, anyway.

Ah, it seemed like that cursed Walter still lived on in Dracula.

Luckily for him, Joachim knew how to make potions to fight against anemia. Hector was a fascinating human, and it would have been a shame if he suffered what Joachim suffered...

Don't really see them as romantic, but they'd have a cute friendship going on :P they could relate very much about feeling stuck in a castle under a vampire Lord's thumb...

I understand why no one thought of this but now I'm in deep too and I kinda would like to see them sticking together even as everyone else is scared of them 🥺

The divorsties! 🥰 no matter the timeline, no matter the universe, they will find each other, and they would divorce each other in the most raw gay sex way possible 🥰

I love how flexible it is. Were they honorary brothers? Friends? Rivals? Fuckbuddies? Genuinely in love? Toxic? Happy before the whole "killing humans" mess started? Who knows, and everything fits! My take is "they couldn't stand to be in the same room for more than 5 minutes but somehow they were always welcome in each other's arms at night, they clashed on everything and their moralities couldn't be more opposite yet they understood each other without words".

They could have been happy, if only they met outside of Dracula's castle, Isaac didn't develop one hell of an inferiority complex and Hector wasn't a rebellious golden child :)

Joaac:

Watch me go from "uhhh that's surely a crackship lol" to "Joachim is the only one who truly understands Isaac and makes him happy and finally convinces him that he's worthy of being loved 🥺"

It's funny because Joachim has some traits in common with Hector, like a rebellious spirit. He's also quite arrogant, and probably has all sorts of issues after his experiences in the Dark Palace of Waterfalls. But hey, Isaac is not the most sane person either :P and it's not like the two are competing for Dracula's love :P so they would be able to connect on a deeper level. Isaac could also be fascinated by Joachim's older knowledge, older than even Dracula, and Joachim might be intrigued by Isaac's magic.

I do see the romantic potential! But I'm much more attached to the idea of Joachim becoming something of a big brother figure to Hector, helping him and subtly pushing him to rebel against Dracula, hoping that the boy would be more successful of course :P they're similar enough that they would relate to each other, but Joachim seems to be more... extra than Hector lol, kind of like Isaac, so they'd also contrast nicely. Still, I much prefer Joachim loving Isaac and no other.

I hope Joachim isn't a narcissistic bastard like a certain other vampire and doesn't have weird thoughts on Hector looking a lot like him :P

They have a lot of similarities, not only in design but in narrative as well. Joachim is just less... morally stable than Hector lmao, surely not concerned about principles or humanity but only about beating Walter into a pulp and stealing his throne. He's also generally a wildcard (we don't know much of his personality and what we know is shown in a scenario where he was out of his mind), and would probably be a bit off his rocker even 400 years after freeing himself.

So, in short, they'd either have a more or less wholesome relationship built on empathy and support if Joachim feels pity for the poor boy... or something decidedly more fucked up. I'm now picturing Joachim in Carmilla's role, trying to sway Hector from Dracula not just because he really doesn't like him, but because he might want a pet for himself like he used to be for Walter :)

In this scenario, I suppose Hector would be fascinated by Joachim, for his age and powers and talks of freedom and power, but he'd also put him at unease, even more than Dracula who is slightly better at hiding his insanity...

Of all places, did he have to kiss on his most prominent, shameful scar?

"I'm not going to bite you, growling wolf," Joachim chuckled. "Not because I particularly care about what Mathias would do to me, he's no master of mine. You said you don't want to, so I won't."

"I know you won't, Sir Armster." And he believed it. Somehow, it came easy to Hector trusting the strange vampire who had taken a liking to Lord Dracula's "little wolf".

"Good. There's no need to live your life like a prisoner."

Another kiss, this time a chaster one on the cheek.

The divorsties 🥰 constantly swinging between "they were besties and all they had in Dracula's castle" and "they were two traumatized boys who never learned how to love so they hurt each other even before Hector's betrayal"

who gave them the right to be cute. I can see the chemistry, them understanding each other, having a similar sense of humor, Joachim allowing Isaac to finally feel loved...

I still think they'd have more of a big bro/lil bro dynamic lol. But I absolutely want to see Joachim trying to help Hector out because he sees him as a prisoner like he himself used to be 🥺

Since I don't see Hector and Joachim together in a romantic way, there's not much chemistry in the polycule. But I am very much for the scenario where both of them shower Isaac with the love he so craves and deserves 🥰 oh and both Isaac and Joachim would love to tease Hector, of course :P

and since i can guess who you are, you know the fun i'm currently having imagining their "games" together 😏

It's hard for me to imagine how Joachim would be in a hypothetical AU where he's free and alive past LoI... aside from "not well mentally" lol. But it's easy to imagine that he'd get along with equally-as-unhinged Isaac :P they'd be a terrible influence for each other and their bloodlust (different kinds, but still), but at the same time have an affinity no one else understands. Who knows, maybe their mutual understanding would make them simmer down...

Joactor:

They both have silver hair! They have similar clothes! They have a complicated relationship with a redhead manwhore! And they both suffered at the hands of a vampire bastard :D

I have an even harder time imagining how they'd bond lol. I think Joachim would mostly take pity on Hector and see himself in him, see him as this poor human enthralled by promises of power and easy victim of his vampire lord. Also I like to imagine that suffering from blood loss is a fate he would only wish on Walter and no one else, so he'd go through the effort of healing him. Not that he's very emotionally supportive (I think he'd have a penchant for dark jokes), but it's the actions that count.

Hector may not be as "fun" as Isaac is for Joachim, but at least with him he can make fun more openly of Dracula and compare him with Walter :P

I'm not really sure what would Hector like of Joachim. Maybe his blasé attitude in general, or simply the charm of a vampire much older than even Dracula himself.
